Hi Traci, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
In my field, it’s a common misconception that we are not considered professionals and are hardly educated.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Traci Laster and I’ve been a hairstylist for 33 years in a small town in North Georgia. I have worked in a private space for over 6 years and I strive to continue my education and be the best at what I do.
I love working with clients and making them feel amazing about themselves.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
Both of my parents influenced me to have a strong work ethic.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
Somewhat recently actually. I struggle with things I cannot control. So I’m realizing I have to let it go and move on. Change can be good.

Yes, because what matters is I did it and wasn’t looking for recognition.
