Story & Lesson Highlights with Alexandra Redmond

Alexandra Redmond shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Alexandra, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I wake up to my baby waking up at 630-7am. We typically spend about 15 minutes reading and playing in his room before making out way downstairs to start breakfast. I always start my morning with a large glass of water while coffee is brewing, and then make my family a balanced breakfast! I typically spend about 30 minutes creating content for social media and try to squeeze in a 30 minute workout before diving into more work!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Alex — fitness influencer and owner of Biz Fit, an online fitness coaching company for busy moms who want to reboot their metabolism and feel amazing in their clothes again — without restrictive diets or long workouts.

People are drawn to my page because of my realistic, relatable approach to fitness. I tell it like it is and make fitness easy to understand.

Now, as a mom of a toddler with another baby on the way, I get how challenging it can be to prioritize yourself when time is stretched so thin. That’s exactly why I’m so passionate about helping moms — because it’s absolutely possible to feel your best again. What worked for you pre-kids likely won’t work now, and that’s okay. We just have to find creative ways to fit fitness into real mom life — and that’s what I’m here to help with.

My husband and I are also working on a special project that I think moms (and families as a whole) are going to love.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
The most powerful moment in my life came disguised as a setback- getting laid off from my corporate job. It forced me to choose: go back to what was safe, or finally chase the dream I’d been putting off. I chose the dream.

Five years later, I’m running a thriving business, helping thousands of moms transform their lives- and I wouldn’t change a thing.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
suffering taught me the most powerful lesson of all- there is no success without failure or struggle. We fail FORWARD!

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
What you see is what you get with me. In a world full of filters and perfectionism, we need more realness.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I only had 10 years left to live, I would stop scrolling social media, in fact I would get rid of it entirely, and spend every second I can with family.
