We were lucky to catch up with Sharise N. Johnson-Moore recently and have shared our conversation below.

Sharise N. , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I found my purpose after I produced a show entitled, Author’s Excerpt Sunday. I would interview authors for the show and afterwards we would get into discussions about their author career. I would really dig deep into their backgrounds of how they became authors and the one thing that stood out the most was that the authors didn’t have their business entities created, what to do before and after the publishing process or marketing and advertising of their books. It became a regular thing that I was running across. I started helping authors with advice about the publishing process and that’s when I decided to revamp my business just for that purpose. Now I help authors through the creation of their business entity to the ideation process of a book title, through the manuscript, editing, proofreading, copyright and ISBN & barcode purchase. Then we go into the marketing and advertising process for their books. I love helping aspiring, first-time and seasoned authors walk through a learning process that they didn’t know that they needed.

I’m Sharise N. Johnson-Moore, founder of Sharise N. Johnson-Moore LLC, a media and consulting company dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs, authors, and ministry leaders. Through services like publishing consulting, visibility coaching, broadcasting, marketing, and live events, I help clients amplify their voices, show up boldly, and walk in their God-given assignments.

What I love most about what I do is helping people see the potential in their stories and businesses—and giving them practical tools and strategies to bring those visions to life. Whether it’s guiding a first-time author through post-publication strategies, coaching a business owner on social media visibility, or producing live events that create meaningful connections, every day is an opportunity to help someone step into their purpose.

Right now, I’m focused on launching my 6-week course, “Published. Now What?”, designed to help authors leverage their books for business growth, ministry impact, and personal influence. Alongside this, I continue to engage audiences through my podcast “The Moore Connection”, my social media live sessions, and collaborative initiatives with other leaders in the entrepreneurial and faith-based communities.

At the heart of my brand is empowerment, visibility, and faith-driven action—I want people not just to achieve their goals, but to walk boldly in their purpose and leave a lasting impact.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

When I loss the three most important people in my life, right behind each other, my grandma, dad and mom that’s when my life changed forever. When I look back over my journey the three most impactful were their three deaths and it fueled my tenacity for research, always willing to learn new things and God giving me a second chance to get my life right. My best advice would be to never give up on your dreams and always know that there is more than one way to win in life and always know that you have to never give up on yourself no matter the obstacle or bump in the road that may come your way. Keep your head up and look to the hills wince cometh your help.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I feel overwhelmed….I pray and talk to God about how I feel and read my Bible. It helps when you are uncertain in your life and the journey that you are on. If you are not connected or don’t have a relationship with God…start reading your Bible…because it is the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Let God lead and guide you in the way you should go. If you ever feel a nudge or feeling about any people, places or things….listen to the voice or the nudging that you are feeling…that’s God helping you. Devote time to reading before starting your day and your day will go so much better.
