An Inspired Chat with Leeroy Tapiwa Nyabeze

Leeroy Tapiwa Nyabeze shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Leeroy Tapiwa , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?

In my view, integrity is the foundation upon which the value of intelligence and energy are built. When one possesses integrity, they are guided by a strong moral compass, which enables them to utilize their intelligence and energy in a purposeful and responsible manner.

Intelligence and energy are both valuable assets, but without integrity, they can be misdirected and even become detrimental. On the other hand, integrity without intelligence and energy may not be enough to achieve one’s goals or make a meaningful impact.

Given your own prioritization of integrity above all else, it’s clear that you understand the significance of this value. By placing integrity at the forefront, you ensure that your actions and decisions are guided by a strong sense of ethics and morality, which in turn, allows you to harness your intelligence and energy in a way that is both effective and responsible.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m delighted to share my story with your readers. As a published fashion, commercial and editorial model, I’ve had the privilege of working with top brands, but my true passion lies in the mining industry, where I specialize in precious metals and gemstones.

As a specialist in precious metals and gemstones, I navigate the dynamic landscape of global markets, sourcing rare and valuable commodities that fuel industries and adorn individuals. My expertise lies in identifying opportunities, mitigating risks and forging strategic partnerships that drive growth and success.

My trading philosophy is built on integrity, transparency and innovation. I stay ahead of market trends, leveraging my network and expertise to deliver exceptional results for my clients.

Currently, I’m focused on expanding my portfolio, exploring new markets and building strategic alliances that amplify my impact.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
One pivotal moment that profoundly impacted my perspective was during the early stages of my journey as a precious metals and gemstone specialist. It was a period of immense self doubt, where the uncertainty of the unknown seemed to overshadow my confidence.

However, it was during this introspective phase that I stumbled upon a profound realization readiness is not a feeling, but a deliberate choice. The epiphany struck me that waiting for the perfect moment or until I felt entirely prepared would only lead to stagnation. Instead, I chose to take the leap, embracing the unknown and allowing myself to learn and grow through experience.

This mindset shift has become a guiding principle in both my personal and professional life. I’ve learned to recognize that growth often lies at the intersection of uncertainty and action. By choosing to move forward, even in the face of doubt, I’ve been able to navigate uncharted territories and uncover new opportunities that have shaped my worldview and propelled me towards success.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has been a transformative teacher, imparting lessons that success alone could never convey. It’s through navigating life’s challenges and setbacks that I’ve gained a profound understanding of resilience, humility and the value of perseverance.

Suffering has taught me to approach life with empathy and compassion, allowing me to connect with others on a deeper level and appreciate the intricate tapestry of human experience. It’s through my own struggles that I’ve developed a sense of humility, recognizing that vulnerability is a fundamental aspect of the human condition.

Moreover, suffering has shown me that true strength lies not in avoiding adversity, but in confronting and transcending it. This understanding has enabled me to reframe my perspective on failure, viewing it not as a defeat, but as an opportunity for growth and self discovery.

In many ways, suffering has been a catalyst for my personal and professional evolution, instilling in me a sense of purpose and gratitude that success alone could never replicate.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
One cultural value that I hold in the highest esteem and protect at all costs is my Christian faith. My spiritual foundation is the bedrock upon which my life and career are built and it is the source of my strength and guidance.

At the heart of my faith is the understanding that my abilities are not self derived, but rather they are a manifestation of the divine power that resides within me. I firmly believe that, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13) and this conviction empowers me to tackle challenges and pursue my goals with unwavering confidence.

Prayer is an integral part of my daily life and I prioritize it as a means of connecting with my Creator and seeking guidance. I believe that my faith is not merely a personal aspect of my life, but a driving force that informs my values, decisions and actions.

As a person of faith, I strive to uphold the values of integrity, compassion and humility and I believe that these principles are essential to achieving success in both my personal and professional endeavors. By protecting and honoring my faith, I am able to cultivate a sense of purpose, direction and fulfillment that transcends worldly success.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
That’s a profound question. For me, the answer is clear I’m doing exactly what I was born to do. There’s a sense of innate alignment, a resonance that comes from pursuing a path that’s deeply rooted in my passions and values.

When you’re living in your purpose, every step forward feels like a natural extension of who you are. It’s as if your very DNA is wired to fulfill this specific mission and every experience, skill and talent you’ve accumulated is converging to propel you forward.

For me, that purpose is centered around empowering others through my work in precious metals and gemstones. I’m not driven by the pursuit of wealth or accolades, rather I’m fueled by the desire to create value, to make a meaningful impact and to leave a lasting legacy.

When you’re doing what you were born to do, the energy is infectious and the work itself becomes a source of joy and fulfillment. It’s not about forcing or striving, it’s about allowing your true nature to shine through and letting your passion guide you towards your highest potential.
