Jesse Nicassio shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Jesse, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
Fear. I believe many people struggle with fear. They may know it or don’t even realize it. Fear disables them to take a leap, to improve and to take chances. They can never see their potential because of fear. They are scared of failing or doing the wrong thing. Fear cripples people to move forward and be better.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jesse Nicassio and I am a health and fitness professional. I am a former NFL athlete, a 3rd generation inventor, entrepreneur and a family man. I have built 4 successful companies. My current company and favorite is Juke Performance. Juke performance is in the health and fitness industry. Juke sells fitness and athletic equipment and also has a high end private gym.
A very new and cool product we have been working on and have recently just launched is our peptide distribution company. Peptides are very fascinating and the way it is helping people with their health in unbelievable. It helps in so many ways such as in reducing pain, rebuilding tissue from an injury, helps with anxiety, depression, PTSD and traumas. Peptides could be used for hair and skin issues, gut issues and improve energy. Its an amazing product and it isn’t harming people like the drugs that are just being handed out now a days.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The time back in 1997 when I was at an Arizona State vs. Nebraska football game at ASU stadium. I was watching my older brother play football. On that team was legends like Pat Tillman and Jake Plummer. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen. During the game I looked at my dad and said, I want to play college football. He said back to me, well you know what you have to do. After that game I went home and started the process to being the best punter I could be. I got tutors to make sue I had the grades to move on to the next level. That changed the way I looked at life and the future of my life.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
When you suffer is when you truly learn who you are. When you aren’t suffering and just floating through life it doesn’t allow you to dive deep into who you truly need to be. That comes with suffering. Suffering brings out the demons. Suffering stops you in your tracks and makes you think what you could be, who you could be and why you are here. Suffering can bring you closer to God. Suffering makes you stronger mentally and a lot of the times physically. When you are suffering you are near the bottom. The devil has you in his grips. Now are you going to let him squeeze the life out of you or are you going to look him in the face, knock him out and keep moving forward. Once you have done that you ow know how to succeed. You can take on the next hard challenge. You are stronger and wiser.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The newest project I am on is about peptides. Peptides are amino acids that our body produces. Sometimes our body does not produce enough especially as we get older so we have to supplement new amino’s into our body to help heal our “wounds”. I am very passionate about this for many reasons. I have been in the health and fitness industry for 20 years. I have seen many supplements come and go. Some work and others don’t. Some peptides help with tissue repair and pain. Being a former NFL athlete I have seen a ton of players be put on drugs such as Vicodin. I have been to 3 funerals of my friends from drug overdoses. Some got addicted to pills because of football injury’s other were from accidents. The common factor was they were all prescribed pain killers which led them to being addicted and unfortunately passing away. We now have a new way to help people live a pain free life. A way for people to cure many health issues the right way without crazy side affects or addictions. Way for people to feel good about themselves that doesn’t deplete their bank account. There’s no wealthy group controlling peptides as of now. This is something the FDA and Government are trying to control to price gouge the the people. To only release what is suitable to their pockets. We cannot allow that. These peptides are amazing and I am determined to get them out for everyone who can benefit from them.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I am gone I want people to remember as a genuine nice guy. A man who truly cared for your health and safety. A person who cherished family, friends and his company. A guy that dedicated his life to make sure his family was taken care of, that the people at his work were secured with their jobs. I want people to know I would go to bat for them and that I am down for the the struggles for the better life. I want my kids and family to know that they were always loved and appreciated and that I would do anything to protect and help them. My friends and family know my loyalty and I hope that stays. I won’t betray others for an extra inch to ruin the reputation of myself to others and in my own mind.
