An Inspired Chat with Tyneida Alanos of Essex County

We recently had the chance to connect with Tyneida Alanos and have shared our conversation below.

Tyneida , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing the vision of making UTE (Urban Travel Experience) a stable and impactful organization recognized around the world — one that uplifts communities, provides opportunities, and reminds people that purpose and unity can change lives. UTE is more than a movement to me, it’s my purpose.

If I stopped, I’d feel like I was stepping away from what I was called to do. My mission with UTE is to inspire, serve, and contribute to making humanity better. Stopping would mean silencing that purpose — and that’s something I can’t do. Every family we help, every young person we reach, every community we connect reminds me why I started and why I have to keep going.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tyneida Alanos, and I’m the founder of Urban Travel Experience (UTE) — a movement and organization dedicated to inspiring, uplifting, and connecting communities through travel, education, and purpose-driven outreach. UTE was born from my belief that exposure changes everything — that by experiencing life beyond our immediate surroundings, we grow, dream bigger, and find deeper meaning in our journeys What makes UTE unique is that it’s not just about travel — it’s about transformation.

From community initiatives like feeding families during the holidays to inspiring children through my book The Dream Journey, UTE represents hope, impact, and purpose in motion.

At its core, UTE is an extension of who I am — someone chasing purpose, not perfection. I’m currently focused on expanding UTE’s reach so it can become a stable and impactful platform recognized around the world, one that continues to empower people to dream, explore, and make a difference wherever they go.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world was when I started building
Urban Travel Experience (UTE). What began as a simple idea to explore and connect with people—quickly grew into something much deeper. Through UTE, I’ve been able to experience how powerful it is when different cultures and communities come together. Seeing people connect, learn from each other, and feel inspired showed me that change
doesn’t always start big—it starts with us, in our communities, one experience at a time.

UTE opened my eyes to how much beauty and strength there is in unity. It helped me see the world not as separate places or people, but as one collective journey we’re all on. And that perspective continues to inspire everything I do—because when we come together, we really can make the world better and more united.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self, “I’m so proud of how far you’ve come — spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. You’ve stayed true to yourself and what you believe in, even when it wasn’t easy. Every challenge and moment of growth has shaped you into the strong, purpose-driven person you were always meant to be.” That strength and faith now live through UTE, reminding me every day that when we stay true to our purpose, we can inspire others and help make the world better together.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to UTE because it’s my purpose. I truly believe that each of us is here for a reason — to live fully in our purpose and make a difference in the world. UTE is more than a project to me; it’s a way to inspire, unite, and uplift people across communities. No matter how long it takes for it to grow globally, I will keep pushing forward, because leaving a meaningful legacy isn’t about speed — it’s about dedication, love, and the impact we create along the way.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
“I feel most at peace when I’m surrounded by my family and friends, basking in good, positive energy. But the deepest sense of peace comes from living my purpose through UTE—knowing that I’m creating impact, connecting communities, and inspiring others to live fully. It’s in those moments that I feel aligned, fulfilled, and truly in harmony with the world around me.”
