Liv Peltier of Atlanta on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Liv Peltier. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Liv, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Recently, I’ve been volunteering at my local youth center, helping with tutoring and softball practices. Being around kids reminds me of my own childhood and how active I was as a child. It brings me joy to be a part of creating staple childhood memories and fostering imagination in others.

Being able to tap into that childlike energy and enjoy the simplicity of the moment is what makes me lose track of time. Playing outside, laughing at their silly jokes, and being fully present has helped me reconnect with my inner child. It’s made me realize that the present moment, in its simplest form, is what truly matters to us all.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Liv Peltier, and I am a Creative Director, Content Creator (widely known as Da Vogue Vista), and Community Leader dedicated to shaping the narrative of Caribbean creativity. Though I currently reside in the Virgin Islands, my expertise and creative reach are truly boundless.

As an innovative creative visionary, I aim to cultivate a digital community that celebrates and reimagines the Creative Caribbean Identity—bridging culture, storytelling, and strategy through modern media. I am the proud founder of LP’s Creative Services, a virtual agency committed to building digital marketing literacy among Caribbean businesses. My mission is to produce innovative and sustainable creative solutions that elevate brands, expand their reach, and empower the next generation of Caribbean entrepreneurs.

Beyond my work, I’m passionate about traveling the world in search of new adventures, volunteering within my community, and indulging in self-care through beauty and wellness. I also enjoy exploring local restaurants and cafes and reading to expand my knowledge and creativity. Every experience I embrace contributes to my evolution as a Caribbean advocate woman, proud of my roots and driven by purpose.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
My slogan, “Unleash Your Inner Child,” was not designed by accident—it’s truly a reflection of my way of life. Before the world tried to define who I should be as a Black Caribbean woman, I knew I had to write my own story. From a young age, I was determined to make a difference in my community through creativity.

At just eight years old, I fell in love with the creative process and how we, as humans, design the world around us. I knew that my creativity was the key to expressing my true self. It became my calling—not just to create—but to use my voice to advocate for those who have been told that creativity isn’t essential.

In middle school, I was outspoken and unafraid to express who I was. Yet, the adults around me—and the world itself—often taught that young girls should be seen and not heard. That belief never sat right with my spirit. I am forever grateful for my mother and older sister, who ingrained in me that strong voices are meant to be heard. They free our inner child and unlock our imagination.

The essence of creating anything meaningful begins with understanding our inner child—our truest voice. My healing journey has been about reconnecting with that young girl who was once shamed for her boldness in expression. Today, I proudly stand as the woman who has unleashed her inner child.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
It was late last year when I began using my platform and “Yapping” series to advocate for my community. For a long time, I carried the pain of being misunderstood or misinterpreted whenever I spoke up about issues that truly needed attention. I feared that the world would perceive me differently, and that fear of not being accepted kept my inner child silent.

Around March, I made a decision: the community I want to be a part of is one that welcomes healing and embraces change. I realized that true transformation begins with strong leadership—and that I had a role to play in that. I recognized the power of my voice, my creativity, and my ability to articulate complex thoughts, so I began using social media as my outlet. That act of expression healed a deep part of my spirit.

Through openly sharing my thoughts and experiences online, I started to heal my inner child wounds. I discovered that the real power we all possess lies within our minds—the power to shape the change we want to see. That realization sparked a kind of healing that no doctor could ever prescribe.

This was me reclaiming my power—through voice, creativity, and courage.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value that I deeply cherish—and have proudly taken the torch to preserve and pass on to future generations—is the art of storytelling. Over time, this sacred art has been diminished, often overlooked in a world that undervalues creativity and imagination. Yet, storytelling is the very heartbeat of our culture.

It is how our ancestors passed down parables, morals, insights, wisdom, knowledge, and power. Through stories, they taught us how to be a village even as the world around us changed. Storytelling was how we remembered our resilience, how we stayed connected to our roots, and how we preserved the essence of who we are.

The art of storytelling—expressed through music, culture, dance, dialogue, poetry, literature, art, education, and even culinary traditions—is how we learn about one another and communicate across generations. It is the universal language of human expression.

Storytelling is more than words—it is how we remember, connect, and define who we are.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I am gone, the one story I hope people remember me for is the story of how powerful our minds truly are. I want to be remembered as someone who emphasized that true happiness, true wealth, true peace, true love, and a true sense of self all begin with the state of our minds.

I hope my legacy inspires others to rethink how they were taught to think—to reshape their perspectives and consciously create the thoughts that shape their lives. The mind is a beautiful and powerful tool when used with intention and awareness.

Most importantly, once you learn to control your mind, you gain control over your actions—and that alignment fuels your soul.
