We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tiffany Mendelson. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
What’s normal to me isn’t normal to most people. My mornings usually start early with either a swim, bike, run or a mix of a few before the workday begins. After training, I have about an hour reset, then straight to my full-time role with Gray Media, where I help local and national businesses grow through creative advertising strategies across broadcast TV and digital platforms. Most of my days are filled with meetings, creative planning and client conversations, which this mix keeps things interesting.
Also, once a year, I teach The Clarity Catalyst online, which is an 8-week transformational course based on a Stanford University master’s program called Creativity in Business. It’s one of my favorite projects, helping adults and professionals reconnect with creativity, confidence and purpose.
Evenings are a mix of my second training block or time with my boyfriend usually relaxing or watching movies with our two Boxer pups nearby. That’s a typical weekday for me. Weekends are usually reserved for longer training sessions and time with the people closest to me. It’s a full life, but it’s balanced in a way that feels exactly right for where I am.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a media executive, endurance athlete, and a mindset trainer. By day, I work with Gray Media, helping local businesses grow through creative storytelling and strategic advertising across broadcast TV and digital platforms. Outside of that, I teach The Clarity Catalyst, a transformational course based on a Stanford University master’s program called Creativity in Business. It’s focused on helping adults and professionals reconnect with creativity, confidence and purpose something I’m deeply passionate about.
What makes my story unique is how all of it ties together. I’m an athlete who believes mindset shapes performance, a professional who values creativity as much as strategy and a person who’s always exploring how discipline and balance can coexist.
Everything I do, from my work as a media executive, to teaching The Clarity Catalyst, is about helping people grow, whether that’s a business finding its audience or an individual finding clarity. My focus is on connection, creativity and bringing purpose into everything I take on.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a kid who has a strong intuition and will that was curious and unfiltered. I didn’t question my gut, I just followed it. Somewhere along the way, I’ve been learning how to return to that version of myself as kids will always be the most creative.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
A few years ago, I tried to launch my coaching business. I had the drive, the ideas and the passion, but the path looked nothing like I imagined. It didn’t take off the way I hoped, but it ended up being one of the most valuable lessons I’ve had. It taught me what not to do, how to slow down, create from authenticity and build a life that actually felt aligned. More than anything, that experience made me more appreciative, more empathetic and genuinely happy for other people’s success.
That season changed how I show up in every part of my life in my role as a Media Executive, as an endurance athlete, and as a mindset trainer. It gave me a deeper understanding of people, purpose and growth lessons that no “win” alone could have ever taught me.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
An important truth that very few people agree with me on is that setting strong boundaries for your health changes everything. People say they agree with me in having balance, but their actions often tell a different story. True health isn’t just about workouts or nutrition it’s about protecting your energy, time and mental space. When you build strong, healthy habits and honor them, life will get better.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
The healthy habits, consistent training and discipline I’m building will keep me strong and thriving later. The same goes for my mindset work teaching The Clarity Catalyst, it will only get easier and grow as I refine my approach. And in my career as a Media Executive, I know the businesses I work with will continue to grow and evolve over time. It’s all connected to the work I’m putting in now and is laying the foundation for the kind of life and impact that builds year after year.
