An Inspired Chat with Meghan Connolly (Maloof Berdellans)

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Meghan Connolly (Maloof Berdellans). Check out our conversation below.

Meghan Connolly, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Depending on where I am in the US, my daily schedule begins a little earlier – I typically wake up in the 5am hour, but when I am in Abu Dhabi, I wake up at 630-7am. This allows me to be accessible to both sides of the world during my workday. No matter where I am in the world, my morning routine consists of meditation, prayer, gratitude, journaling and visualization with an iced latte made with raw milk and a protein filled breakfast: usually pasture raised eggs and grass fed beef bacon with organic sourdough toast. This is how I spend the most critical part of my morning and it really helps center me for the day. It’s a non-negotiable for me.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a content creator, social marketing consultant, lover of e-commerce and social selling, real estate broker, and have a passion for my faith, health + wellness, giving back, and connecting people.

I have led successful projects ranging from viral rainbow bagels in Brooklyn to the late Pope Francis with the Vatican & Archdiocese of New York, landing my dog Ceili the Puppy as a model in New York Fashion Week, Vogue, and beyond.

While I’ve had the honor of leading such projects, previous health challenges throughout my life led me to the content creation space for my own personal brand. I started sharing my journey with endometriosis over 10 years ago, trying different dietary and lifestyle changes to navigate living with the disease has well as advocating for other women with this chronic illness.

This instilled a passion about holistic and ancestral health and wellness, where I incorporate content around this topic and partner with brands who are aligned with these beliefs.

In addition to wellness and real estate content, my brand has heavily focused on life as an American female expat in the Middle East, where I center on two areas: educating Western audiences, which helps drive tourism to the UAE (mainly Abu Dhabi & Dubai), and sharing beautiful elevated experiences that foster authentic connection within the local communities amongst GCC countries.

Spending so much time abroad has opened my eyes in so many ways – in the best way possible.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that truly shaped how I see the world was the first time I understood how different life feels when you actually live inside another culture rather than observe it from afar. So much of what we think we know is secondhand, shaped by headlines, misconceptions, or fear. But spending time in this part of the world revealed to me that many parts have been left out.

I’ve lived in many places, and God has always given me the gift of adaptation, but this was the most drastic change I’ve ever embraced in the best way. Within just a couple of months, my worldview expanded more than in all my years spent traveling across the US, Europe and the UK.

The world is far more generous, nuanced, and connected than we’ve been taught to believe. People welcome you, community forms quickly, and ‘home’ becomes something bigger than geography. This experience didn’t just change how I see other cultures, it changed how I see myself, my purpose, and the type of storytelling I want to share.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
I’m pretty vocal about what is on my mind all the time – when I am in Abu Dhabi, I really miss Bounty paper towels. No one does paper towels like the good ol’ US of A.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A belief I’m committed to, no matter how long it takes, is preserving and normalizing a return to the basics: real, whole food. Not as a ‘diet’ trend, but as a way of living that honors where we come from. In a world that moves fast and overcomplicates everything, I feel called to help people make better choices for themselves and their families because their physical and mental health depends on it. Even many ‘junk’ foods can be simplified with whole food ingredients that aren’t damaging to the body and the mind.

These foundations are powerful. It’s not just about what we eat, it’s about sustaining practices that our ancestors relied on for generations and the belief that food is meant to heal, not harm.

Whether it’s on my platforms, in conversations, or through the way I live my own life, I’m committed to keeping that message alive. Even if it takes years, I want to help shift the narrative back to basics.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people talk about how I helped them feel seen, whatever that means for them. I believe spiritual beings on this earth for a short while, all on our journeys with a purpose we are placed here for. Everyone should feel seen.
