Story & Lesson Highlights with Omowonuola Hall

We recently had the chance to connect with Omowonuola Hall and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Omowonuola, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, my greatest source of joy has been my relationship with God. I’ve come to realize that true joy isn’t found in achievements, possessions, or even in the best of life’s moments, those things can be fleeting. But the joy that comes from knowing Christ is constant and unshakable. It gives me peace in uncertain times and reminds me that no matter what happens, I’m deeply loved and cared for. That kind of joy is lasting, and it truly anchors me.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Omowonuola Hall, and I’m the founder of Naturalle Hair, a brand that specializes in premium hair extensions and wigs. I started building my company at just 17 years old, driven by a passion to help women feel confident and beautiful in their natural essence. Over the years, the journey has been filled with both challenges and incredible growth, each obstacle teaching me resilience and innovation.

Recently, I relocated to a new country and made the bold decision to rebuild and rebrand Naturalle Hair from the ground up. It’s been both humbling and exciting, a reminder that growth often comes through reinvention. What makes Naturalle Hair special is our commitment to authenticity, quality, and empowering women to embrace their beauty with confidence. This next chapter for us is all about expansion, creativity, and continuing to make a mark in the global beauty industry.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
It may sound cliché, but my relationship with God has truly shaped how I see myself. Growing up, I developed a personal relationship with Him at a young age, and that became the foundation of my confidence and identity. It taught me resilience, to rise above challenges and keep going even when things get tough. It also taught me kindness, to treat people with grace regardless of their actions, and to believe deeply in my own potential. My faith reminds me that with God, I can do anything I set my heart and mind to.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, several times. There have been moments in both my personal life and business when I felt like giving up. Entrepreneurship can be tough, and life itself can be even tougher. But every single time I chose to keep going, I discovered something new, about discipline, consistency, and what I like to call ‘stubborn faith.’ I’ve learned that greatness isn’t built in comfort; it’s forged in perseverance. And when I look at people who’ve gone ahead and succeeded, I’m reminded that no one ever becomes great by quitting. So I pick myself up, dust myself off, and keep moving, stronger and wiser each time.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I truly admire my husband. He constantly strives to be more like Christ every single day, and I find that incredibly beautiful and inspiring. His humility, patience, and quiet strength remind me that true greatness isn’t found in power or status, but in character, in choosing love, grace, and integrity no matter the situation.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, absolutely. I believe that excellence should never depend on applause. For me, giving my best is a form of integrity, it’s doing what’s right and meaningful, even when no one is watching. My faith has also taught me that I’m ultimately working unto God, not for human praise. So whether I’m being celebrated or not, I’ll still pour my heart into everything I do.
