We were lucky to catch up with Temika Lyons recently and have shared our conversation below.
Temika, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
I incorporate self-care into my daily routine because I recognize that I can’t pour when I’m dry or empty. Whether it’s spending quiet time in prayer, journaling, resting, or doing something that brings me joy, these moments help me recharge and stay balanced. Making self-care a priority allows me to show up more focused, refreshed, and effective in every area of my life and ministry. It helps me serve others from a place of joy and overflow and not.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My journey has always been about purpose, discovering it, protecting it, and helping others birth theirs. I’m the founder of Temika Lyons Global, a purpose-driven ministry that empowers people to grow spiritually, heal deeply, and walk boldly in their divine calling. Over the years, my assignment has evolved into what I now call birthing coaching, helping individuals and leaders push past fear, pain, and limitation so they can give birth to what God placed inside of them.
I often say that I’m a midwife for purpose. Whether it’s through prayer, teaching, writing, or mentorship, I come alongside others in those transitional seasons of life, the moments when purpose is pressing, but breakthrough feels distant. Seeing someone awaken to who they really are in God and begin walking it out unapologetically, that’s what excites me most about what I do.
What makes Temika Lyons Global special is that it’s not just a ministry; it’s a movement of transformation. From empowering teachings and prayer initiatives to our global mentorship community, everything we do is centered around helping people birth what God has declared over their lives.
As for what’s next, 2026 is shaping up to be an incredible year of expansion and impact. In January 2026, we’ll kick off our 31 Days of Prayer, a powerful month of prophetic intercession to start the year with focus and faith. I’m also preparing to launch 100 Authors to Watch in 2026, an initiative close to my heart that amplifies emerging voices, giving authors and visionaries a platform to be seen and heard.
At the end of the day, my mission is simple: to help people recognize that they are not average, they are anointed, called, and chosen for such a time as this.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three most impactful qualities that have shaped my journey are faith, resilience, and discernment.
Faith has always been my foundation. It’s what allows me to move forward even when I don’t have all the answers. My entire journey from launching Temika Lyons Global to stepping into new territories as a Birthing Coach and Author has been built on trusting God’s leading. For anyone early in their journey, I encourage you to strengthen your faith muscle daily. Spend time in prayer, stay grounded in the Word, and learn to trust God’s timing more than your own.
Resilience has carried me through seasons of testing and transition. Every visionary will face moments where the weight of purpose feels heavy, but resilience keeps you pressing forward when the process gets painful. My advice is to embrace the process, not just the promise. Growth often happens in the stretching.
And finally, discernment has been key. In ministry and business, not every door that opens is yours to walk through. Discernment helps you make wise decisions, protect your peace, and align with divine connections. To grow in discernment, stay sensitive to God’s voice, don’t rush decisions, and surround yourself with people who carry wisdom and integrity.
These three qualities, faith, resilience, and discernment, have not only guided my success but have grounded me in purpose. Mastering them will prepare you to lead with clarity and courage

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes, absolutely! Collaboration is such a powerful part of kingdom building. I’m always looking to connect with purpose-driven leaders, authors, creatives, intercessors, and visionaries who have a heart to impact lives through faith-based initiatives, empowerment, and purpose-centered work. Whether it’s through events, writing projects, media partnerships, or prayer movements, I believe that when we come together with aligned vision, we multiply impact.
In this next season, I’m especially open to collaborating with authors, speakers, and entrepreneurs who are ready to use their voices to inspire transformation, whether that’s through the 100 Authors to Watch in 2026, upcoming Temika Lyons Global events and campaigns, or using my voice and story on their initiatives to make a lasting impact.
Anyone interested in partnering or collaborating can connect with me through email [email protected] or reach out on social media @TemikaLyons. I love building authentic, Kingdom-minded connections that advance purpose and create lasting change.
