Meet Allison Bray

We recently connected with Allison Bray and have shared our conversation below.

Allison, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

I remember coming across an interview with Martha Stewart where she was asked if she ever experienced imposter syndrome. In essence, she said she never did, because whenever she reached a milestone, she knew she had earned it. That really stuck with me. Over time, I realized that the key isn’t to silence doubt entirely, it’s about taking the steps to get yourself to the place you want to be. Once I figured out how to create my own opportunities, I gained the confidence to know I deserve to be there.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

At Post Perfect, creativity is at the heart of everything we do. From branding and content creation to blogging, we provide a full suite of services for a variety of businesses, which keeps every project fresh and exciting. I love the challenge of finding unique ways to tell each brand’s story. Recently, we’ve expanded our offerings to include web design and professional brand photoshoots, which has been an exciting step forward. Right now, I’m focused on growing and scaling the business, building our team, and preparing for an exciting year ahead.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are determination, grit, and self-encouragement. I set high goals and standards, and my determination ensures I always reach them. Grit is what keeps you moving day-to-day, especially when things get tough, it’s the harder exterior that carries you through challenges. And I’ve learned to be my own cheerleader. Entrepreneurship can be lonely at times, so curbing negative self-talk and focusing on positive reinforcement is essential. My advice for those early in their journey is to cultivate these traits: set clear goals, embrace the grind, and don’t underestimate the power of cheering yourself on.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is a small business owner who does not have the time or budget for a full-time marketing team. They want to grow their visibility and scale their business but are not sure how to do it. I help these business owners handle the marketing they cannot manage themselves. They already have so much to focus on, and I take care of the creative marketing strategy for them so they can focus on running their business.
