Meet CharVon Claudrick

We recently connected with CharVon Claudrick and have shared our conversation below.

CharVon , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic was shaped by both necessity and choice. Growing up in a low-income household, I saw early on that nothing was going to be handed to me. I watched my family stretch every dollar and hustle just to make ends meet. That survival mode taught me how to grind, but it also taught me that I didn’t want to stay in that cycle.

When I became a teen mom at 16, the stakes got even higher. I was still in high school, raising a child, trying to figure out how to make a way when it didn’t feel like I had one. That experience gave me a different kind of drive one rooted in responsibility, legacy, and the deep desire to create a better life for my children.

But beyond survival, I’ve always been intentional about evolving. Whether it was pursuing my education while working full time, climbing the corporate ladder, or eventually preparing to walk away from it all to build my own business each step was fueled by discipline, focus, and heart.

Even now, my work ethic is about more than checking off tasks it’s about impact. It’s about showing up for my clients, for my family, and for the young girl I used to be who dreamed of something more.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m the founder and CEO of C.A.C. Financial Services, a virtual bookkeeping and tax firm that specializes in helping self-employed business leaders transform how they manage money from simply making revenue to actually building wealth. As an Enrolled Agent, I also represent clients before the IRS, especially when they’re dealing with tax debt, audits, or compliance issues.

But what I really do goes deeper than numbers. I educate. I empower. I create safe spaces for entrepreneurs especially those who’ve never been taught how to manage their finances to get clarity, take control, and move forward with confidence. What’s most exciting for me is when a client goes from confusion and chaos to saying, “I finally get it.” That shift in mindset that sense of ownership is everything.

My brand is built on truth, transformation, and transparency. I’ve walked the journey myself: teen mom, corporate career, financial instability, rebuilding, and ultimately stepping out on faith to become a full-time business owner. So when I talk to clients about cash flow, tax strategy, or generational wealth I’m not speaking from theory. I’m speaking from experience.

Right now, I’m expanding my reach through a few new initiatives I’m proud of:

Financial Focus Thursdays: I recently hosted a live 12-week series (August – October) where I discussed key financial topics to help small business owners make smarter money moves.

Revenue to Wealth Intensive: A guided 4-week experience that helps business owners assess, organize, plan for profit, and develop a long-term investment strategy.

Financial Transformation Journey Workbooks: A growing digital library of practical tools that walk entrepreneurs through topics like building business credit, debt reduction, and retirement planning.

I’m also in the process of becoming a certified Financial Wellness Consultant, because I believe financial empowerment is a form of wellness and we need more of it in our communities.

If you’re a business owner who’s ready to stop spinning your wheels and start building something sustainable, I invite you to connect. This isn’t just accounting it’s legacy work.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three most impactful things in my journey have been self-awareness, financial literacy, and discipline.

1. Self-awareness gave me clarity about who I was, what I valued, and what kind of life I wanted to build not just for me, but for my children and grandchildren. I had to ask myself the hard questions: Am I operating in survival mode or building something sustainable? Am I repeating cycles or breaking them? For those just starting out, I encourage you to make space for reflection. Be honest with yourself about what’s working and what’s not. The sooner you gain clarity, the sooner you can take aligned action.

2. Financial literacy changed my life. Once I started understanding how money actually works beyond just earning and spending it shifted everything. Learning about taxes, credit, debt, savings, and investing gave me power. My advice? Don’t wait until you’re in a crisis to learn about money. Start small. Ask questions. Watch videos. Take workshops. And if you don’t understand something, don’t let embarrassment stop you from asking again.

3. Discipline was the bridge between what I wanted and what I was willing to work for. It’s what kept me moving on days I was tired, unsure, or scared. You don’t need to be the most talented or have all the resources. But if you can be consistent, focused, and willing to delay gratification, you’ll make progress period.

My biggest advice? Be intentional. Growth doesn’t happen by accident. Build your foundation on truth, be patient with your process, and don’t be afraid to start before you feel ready.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

One book that has had a deep impact on me is The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav. I first came across it when I was younger, but I didn’t fully appreciate its wisdom until I revisited it during a time when I was intentionally working on my mindset and healing my relationship with money.

What stood out most to me was the reminder that we are more than just physical beings trying to survive we’re spiritual beings having a human experience. That truth helped me reframe how I viewed struggle, success, and purpose. It taught me that real power isn’t about control it’s about alignment. Aligning your intentions with your actions, and choosing love over fear.

Another takeaway that stuck with me was the idea that every experience good or bad is here to teach you something that will move you closer to your highest self. That helped me make peace with my past and also gave me a deeper sense of responsibility for how I move in the world, especially as a mother, a business owner, and a financial educator.

This book reminded me that transformation starts within and when you lead from the soul, everything else falls into place. That’s a message I now carry into the work I do with clients every day.
