Meet Vanessa Hartley

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Vanessa Hartley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Vanessa, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

Faith, Hope and Love. I do, wholeheartedly believe that God controls my fate and the outcome of my life and when I do what is right, I am rewarded, by God with good things, blessings and his grace and favour. I do believe He is working for my good and I have faith that even though things aren’t favorable at times, the will be when He thinks I am ready. Only He knows the plans for my life, plans for my prosperity and my future.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My brand is based in lifestyle, particularly food. I am also very interested in people and their cultures and lifestyle, so many of my explorations in food and culture is an opportunity to experience what makes people who they are. I would absolutely love to travel and experience what the world has to offer but that needs some financing so until then, I experience what I am able to where I am able to.

Pinkpeachhh and WhatsNewontheMenu is exploration, sharing findings and new experiences hoping to showcase what is out there on offer for those who are interested

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Identify and embrace what makes you unique, it will set you apart ultimately.

Know that the journey is LONGGG and I hear its worth it 🤭

Keep working on making your product or service, better. Don’t be complacent about it and be proud of what you’ve worked hard to achieve.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

I pause. I acknowledge what feelings and emotions I’m experiencing then take a stock of why I’m feeling like this, causes and triggers. Next! formulate how to overcome, even if it’s to defer the decision or abandon the idea altogether..
