Meet Brandie Speed

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brandie Speed a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandie , so excited to have you with us today, particularly to get your insight on a topic that comes up constantly in the community – overcoming creativity blocks. Any thoughts you can share with us?

When I was writing Breathe Bitch Breathe, I hit walls—deep, emotional ones. There were days the words wouldn’t come because I was still healing from the very wounds I was trying to write about. But every time I wanted to stop, I’d meet another woman carrying the same silent pain I once held. Different face, same story. That’s when Spirit reminded me—this book wasn’t just mine.

I kept running into reflections of myself in these women, and I realized they didn’t yet know how to breathe through their storms the way I’d learned to. They were still drowning in emotions I had already turned into lessons. That became my why.

So I stopped fighting the block and started listening. I let Spirit lead. Every chapter became a release, every page a prayer, every sentence a breath of truth meant for the next woman who needed to remember her power.

Breathe Bitch Breathe had to be finished because it wasn’t about perfection—it was about purpose.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My life is a beautiful blend of purpose, hustle, and divine alignment. I wear many hats — Entrepreneur, Momager, and Spiritual Guide — and each one reflects a different part of my soul’s mission.

As a mother, I’ve had the incredible experience of guiding my children through five amazing seasons of Abbott Elementary, watching them grow not only as young talents but as grounded, mindful beings in an industry that can easily distract from authenticity. Motherhood keeps me rooted in love, patience, and purpose — it’s my greatest teacher.

Spiritually, I’m stepping into a new season with the relaunch of my metaphysical brand, New Age Namaste LLC, a space designed to help people realign with their higher selves through energy work, crystals, rituals, and conscious living. It’s more than a store — it’s a sanctuary for spiritual connection, community, and healing.

On the community side, I serve as an Executive for 2Hunned Inc., a nonprofit focused on uplifting and empowering our neighborhoods through service, outreach, and giving back — from food and toy drives to cultural events like our annual Turkey Drive.

What excites me most about everything I do is the connection —whether it’s guiding a soul on their healing path, nurturing my children’s dreams, or serving my community, it all comes back to purpose. My work is about breathing life, love, and spirit into everything I touch.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

“Stop and smell the BS — the illusion, the fear, the overthinking. None of it’s real. Energy follows thought, and whatever you believe, you breathe life into. You are the creator and the critic, so choose faith over fear and let your higher self lead the way.” — Brandie Speed

The three most impactful qualities on my journey have been intuition, resilience, and alignment.

My intuition has always been my inner compass — that quiet voice that knows before I do. Learning to trust it changed everything. For anyone early in their journey, spend time alone, listen to your spirit, and stop second-guessing those divine nudges. They’re not random; they’re guidance.

Resilience has been my backbone. Life has thrown challenges that could’ve broken me, but instead, they built me. Every setback taught me how to pivot with grace instead of panic. My advice: don’t fear the breakdowns — that’s where the breakthroughs are born.

And finally, alignment — learning that success without peace isn’t success at all. When I started aligning my actions with my purpose, everything began to flow naturally. For anyone starting out, don’t chase what looks good — follow what feels true. Energy doesn’t lie.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

If I knew I only had a decade left, I’d spend it fully living — not just existing. Life’s moments are so precious, and we tend to forget that in the middle of the everyday hustle. I’d slow down, love deeper, laugh louder, travel lighter, and stay present for every sacred second. I’d pour my energy into my children, my purpose, and the people who truly matter. Because at the end of the day, the memories we create are the real legacy we leave behind.
