We recently connected with Emilie Anne Richardson and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Emilie Anne , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from knowing I can try something, and if it doesn’t work, try again! Whatever you are dreaming about building, listen to positive feedback, and put your talents to work for you! Don’t give up even when it seems hard or maybe you feel misunderstood. If you want to meet a goal or finish a degree or create a business, keep going! Dig deep and find the why to what you are pursuing and make it happen!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hi I’m Emilie! I love to help others and spread positivity. Besides blogging and helping run our construction company, I am currently involved with a wonderful non-profit group. We spend time interacting with patients who have dementia. It is so rewarding to gift the caregivers with time off, while we listen to music, do crafts and eat with patients. It blesses me as much as them!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three areas of knowledge that have been important on my journey are: 1) Continuous learning – why not take that dancing class, read that book or master that language? Growth is good, and in the end you’ll reap amazing benefits! “The beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you.”— B.B. King
2) Take time to understand your gifts and talents! Figure out what it is you are really good at, and put it into practice on the daily!
3) Support others who are in your industry: it is so nice to be in a group with others who have similar goals, and talents! Get to know them, support them and always lift others up!
If you are early in your journey, maybe building a business, an instagram page or a start up, I would suggest looking for a group of like-minded individuals to grow your support system. They can be cheer leaders on your journey.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I enjoying collaborating and connecting with people and their businesses. It is so fulfilling to see others succeed and I’d like to find more ways to build others up! If you have a business, restaurant or product you want to showcase, I’d love to learn more and work together to show the positive, amazing way your business, food or product can be enjoyed by others.
