We were lucky to catch up with Anna Mullins recently and have shared our conversation below.
Anna, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
Honestly, I keep going because Lavander Moon was built from passion, purpose, and a whole lot of heart. I know who I am, I know the experience I give my couples, and I know the intention behind every detail I touch. Not everyone will understand your vision — and that’s okay.
Haters and nay-sayers don’t pay my bills, they don’t see the hours I put in, and they don’t get to define my worth. I remind myself that every business that grows, shines, or does things differently is going to face criticism. It’s part of leveling up.
So I stay focused on my couples, on creating calm and magic for their day, and on the people who truly see the value I bring. Lavander Moon is bigger than the noise. I’m building something meaningful, something rooted in love and intention — and that’s what keeps me going

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Lavander Moon is truly my heart in business form. I help couples create calm, intentional, beautifully curated wedding days and events — the kind where you actually get to breathe, be present, and enjoy every moment instead of feeling stressed or overwhelmed. I call myself your ‘Wedding Bestie’ because I’m right there beside you fixing the details, cheering you on, and making sure your day feels exactly like you.
What’s most special to me about Lavender Moon is the energy we bring. Everything is rooted in softness, clarity, and care. We’re not just checking tasks off a list — we’re creating an experience that feels peaceful, supported, and magical. I love seeing the shift when a bride realizes she doesn’t have to carry the weight of the day alone. That moment never gets old.
Beyond coordination and planning, we also offer after-event cleanup, a mobile dirty soda bar, decorating services, and intentional touches that help your day flow effortlessly. We’ve recently expanded our team, added new service packages, and are working toward more private bookings and brand collaborations. There are also some really exciting things in the works — from educational content for couples to behind-the-scenes vlogs that show the real side of the wedding world.
Lavender Moon is expanding in ways that feel aligned and soulful, and I can’t wait to keep growing this little dream of mine.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I feel like three things truly shaped my journey with Lavander Moon: intuition, resilience, and the willingness to learn as I go.
First, intuition — I’ve learned to trust my gut, especially in the wedding world. You have to be able to read a room, feel the energy of a day, and know when to step in or step back. My intuition has guided so many decisions, from how I support my couples to how I shape my brand.
Second, resilience. This industry will test you. There are long days, tough moments, and sometimes criticism that stings more than you expect. But every challenge made me stronger. Resilience kept me from giving up when things felt heavy and reminded me why I started in the first place.
And third, being willing to learn — constantly. I didn’t come into this knowing everything. I learned through experience, through feedback, through other vendors, and honestly, through trial and error. Staying open-minded is what helped me grow into the business owner I am now.
For anyone just starting out, my advice is:
• Trust yourself even when you’re not fully confident yet — your intuition will guide you.
• Don’t crumble at the first setback; use it to build your foundation stronger.
• Be a student of your craft, always. Take classes, watch others work, ask questions, and don’t be afraid of failing forward.
Your journey won’t look perfect, but it will be yours — and that’s what makes it powerful

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is someone who values intention, calm, and connection on their wedding and event day. They’re not looking for chaos or perfection — they want a day that feels meaningful, organized, and true to who they are.
I work best with couples who trust the process and trust me to take care of the details so they can actually enjoy their wedding. They appreciate communication, kindness, and organization. They’re the type of people who want to feel supported, not stressed.
My ideal clients are also people who want a planner or coordinator who shows up not just as a vendor, but as a steady, grounding presence — someone who’s going to anticipate needs, smooth out the unexpected, and create a peaceful experience from start to finish.
If you value good energy, clarity, and the kind of day where you can breathe and be present, then you’re exactly who Lavander Moon is for
