MANAMI, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

it is a life time commitment to develop my confidence and self esteem. I am grateful to be able to live with what I love to do.
I am also blessed with my loving husband and three of my children. I appreciate all these opportunities, to build my career, to be an artist. I have been a part of many art festivals and shows and exhibitions since I decide to become an artist about 20 years ago. My confidence and self esteem developing by keep myself challenging to new experience through this art world around me with encouragement and support of friends and family.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am an artist. my main medium is oil and/or acrylic.
also I create various size of stretched canvas prints help from my husband Tommy.
when I decided to become artist over 20 years ago,I was bottom of my life no house, without job, just divorced, had a baby and a child. so wondered how to support myself and children. but I just couldn’t imagine to have any job but an artist.

I have been sketching, painting a few always. i was invited to sell my handmade card that I painted from one of church I used to go. I enjoyed to have this experience and I started to create more painting.
some people who bought my handmade card invited to my very first art show from Duluth, GA.
where I sold 3 large canvas painting. i was so excited, and from there I met many long time artist friends. I love this art community from the shows and festivals.

I keep participating art shows and festivals, also I display my art works at Ahoy There be dragon Gallery in Marietta square, Marietta, GA. also RockMart Art Center at RockMart, GA. I love the energy of creativity found in these art gallery. I enjoy keep being a part of this creative artful life with friends and family and whoever attract my art

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I think I just had enough passion about how to make it happen. I mean how to live the way I love.
I wanted to paint pictures and wanted to be happy with my kids and build my life secure and farm.
Most important qualities is to keep going, I always value quality in resilience.

my husband is a large part of my life and impacted a lot. because of him, he has been a good husband
and He had a job though when I want back to college, he became home dad and my business partner. I feel a lot comfortable to participate shows and festivals. he drives truck with trailer, setting up and packing up, it is a fun experience to be an art vendor but it is quite physical. I totally admire to do this with my hubby and it is fun.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

I maybe not too much changing way of living. but more meeting people and do some fun stuff, laugh, and try to make many more good memories.
