We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Heather Plant. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Heather below.
Heather, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
I’ll be honest, self-care hasn’t always come naturally to me. I’m one of those people who loves to learn, create, and take on a million projects at once, so slowing down or leaving white space on my calendar used to feel impossible. For years, I pushed myself past the point of exhaustion and paid the price in the form of stress and anxiety. That experience is actually what led me to this work because I know firsthand what it feels like to be running on empty and how powerful it is when you finally learn how to create balance.
These days, I’ve built self-care into my life in a way that feels effortless and sustainable. Every morning, I start with a daily herbal infusion- simple plant medicine that helps support my nervous system and builds my resilience to stress. I also use water essences and tinctures as needed, especially during seasons when I know life will be busier, like during a product launch, hosting summits, or even the holidays. These small rituals help me stay grounded and remind me that I can’t pour from an empty cup.
I also make a point to step outside every single day, even if it’s just for a few minutes. There’s something about feeling the sun on my skin or the cold winter air on my face that instantly resets me. And no matter how busy things get, I hold space each day for my magical practice, whether it’s a quick moment of reflection, lighting a candle with intention, or tuning in to my intuition. My self-care doesn’t take hours; it’s more of a series of micro-moments woven naturally into my life. Then once a week, I carve out fifteen minutes to check in with myself and do something a little more nourishing, like using an herbal body oil or journaling. These small, consistent acts have had a huge impact on my effectiveness. I’m able to handle stress better, stay focused, and show up more fully for my clients and my work.
That’s also what I specialize in teaching women- how to simplify self-care and make it fit into real life. Self-care doesn’t need to be one more thing on the to-do list; it can be seamlessly built into your existing rhythm. The beauty of this approach is that it works- it’s sustainable, restorative, and reminds you that caring for yourself doesn’t have to be complicated or perfect to be deeply effective.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Professionally, my focus is on helping women reduce stress and anxiety through natural, holistic methods combining clinical herbalism, nervous system education, and a touch of everyday magic. My business, Magical Plants, grew from a deep belief that healing should feel both practical and empowering. I’ve spent over two decades studying herbal medicine and holistic wellness, and what still excites me most is seeing how simple changes like using herbs, working with the moon, or reconnecting with nature can completely shift how someone feels in their body and life.
What makes my work special is the blend of science, spirituality, and soul that runs through everything I do. I’m not just focused on herbs as remedies; I teach women how to work with plants as allies for emotional balance, energy, and intuition. Whether I’m formulating custom herbal blends, creating programs showing them how to fully manage stress holistically, like my signature program The Calming Toolkit, or guiding my Witchbody Wisdom members through lunar rituals, my goal is always the same: to help women feel grounded, connected, and confident in their own healing power.
Right now, I’m especially excited about expanding Magical Plants to include more programs to help women align their bodies with the medicine and magic of the seasons. This is something I find is often missing from wellness programs, but I’ve seen firsthand over and over again how impactful this simple step is in improving every part of us, and more importantly, how we feel, and how connected we become to the natural world around us. I’m also working on new digital offerings and services for my growing online community and beginning to help other heart-centered business owners turn their ideas into sustainable, soul-aligned brands. At its core, my brand is about balance, between hustle and rest, body and spirit, nature and magic. I want readers to know that wellness doesn’t have to be overwhelming or reserved for people who have it all figured out. It’s about finding calm, connection, and meaning in the small, beautiful moments of everyday life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are resilience, curiosity, and intuition. Resilience has been essential. Building a business in wellness, and doing it while navigating my own health challenges, hasn’t always been easy. There were many moments where things didn’t go as planned, but learning to adapt, stay grounded, and keep moving forward taught me that consistency matters more than perfection. My advice to anyone just starting out is to expect obstacles, but don’t let them define you. View them as detours that help you refine your direction rather than failures.
Curiosity has also played a huge role. I’ve always been deeply curious about how the body, mind, and spirit connect, and that curiosity has driven me to study endlessly, experiment, and keep learning. If you’re early in your journey, try to follow your curiosity- it’s often what leads you to your niche, your purpose, and your best ideas. Never stop being a student, no matter how much you know.
And finally, intuition. For me, that’s the thread that ties everything together. Whether it’s working with plants, creating a new course, or guiding a client, I’ve learned to deeply trust my intuition, and it’s what guides everything I do. It’s a skill I’ve listened to for as long as I can remember, and it’s what brought me to my path. It’s a skill I believe we all have access to, though, and anyone can strengthen it by starting to slow down and learn to listen to themselves.
These three qualities, resilience, curiosity, and intuition, have shaped everything I’ve built. By combining them, I’ve ended up with something powerful: the courage to keep going, the drive to keep growing, and the inner wisdom to know what’s right for not only my business, but those I teach and help. My advice to others curious to tap into that magical combination themselves is to simply carve out quiet moments where you can tune in and just listen, because your intuition will always show you the next right step for you.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes, I absolutely love collaborating, and it’s already a major part of what I do. I regularly host high-value bundles, summits, and other collaborative events throughout the year, and I’m always looking to add new aligned businesses to the events I host.
I love collaborating with online business owners of all kinds- course creators, coaches, digital product sellers, service providers, and educators, especially those in the wellness, personal growth, spiritual, parenting, or intentional-living spaces. Whether someone works B2C or B2B doesn’t matter as much as whether their work supports people in living better, calmer, more aligned lives. I also enjoy partnering with podcast hosts, content creators, and local businesses for guest teaching, workshops, and in-person events.
If someone reading this feels aligned with my mission and would like to be considered for collaboration events I put on, or partner together in other ways, the best place to connect is through my collaboration page: www.themagicalplants.com/collaborate. They can also reach out to me on social media or by emailing me directly. I’m always excited to connect with other businesses to see how we can work together to improve others’ lives, even in some small, meaningful way.
