Destiny, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
Before launching my brand I knew I wanted it to be very innovative. I wanted to have creative collections, creative packaging, and products. In order to keep my creativity alive, I constantly brainstorm and draw out my ideas. I believe that when you write out your ideas it is one step closer to coming to life. I’ve always been really big on writing out my ideas or even making voice memos of all my creative thoughts so I won’t forget it. The main thing that helps me keep my creativity alive is remembering why I started my brand and also remembering what my goals are for my brand in the future. In order to push my brand forward, I must keep my creativity alive.

I am Destiny Harris, the creator and founder of Charismatic Cosmetics. I create vegan-based & cruelty-free cosmetics products by hand. The most exciting thing about this is being able to create a variety of lip shades for so many people. I love being able to create products that people love and want to wear on their lips. My brand was made to inspire and I love inspiring people through cosmetics. Charismatic Cosmetics is a very innovative brand, so we’re always launching something new and creative! We pride ourselves on creating a variety of collections that our customers love.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three skills that were most impactful in my journey was self-motivation, determination and passion. My advice to anyone that is in their early journey is to remain self-driven and determined. Remember to always remind yourself of why you started. No matter what, passion will take you a long way. Trusting the process and keeping faith will help you along your journey. Always remember that failure is just a learning lesson and it helps you improve.
