We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Emily Malec. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Emily below.
Emily, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My mission manifested rather early in life, though it took years of trial and error to find the best way of pursuing it. My passion is reaching others where they feel most alone, and after years in the helping professions, I finally decided to branch out on my own. Now, I am able to offer resources and services on a large scale, making deep healing tools accessible to all.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Hippiness Is, LLC is rooted in my mission of reaching others in their times of darkness. My debut book, Soft Girl Era: Mindmaps to the Heart was born from my own deep healing journey and serves as a guide for others who are ready to “Assess the Damage”, “Get Real” with themselves, and finally “Show Up” in a way that nurtures their authenticity.
I am dedicated to expanding my collection to include resources that reach all ages and demographics. Another published work I’ve created in an 8-Week SEL workbook designed for youth and adolescents. This workbook teaches younger generations the foundations of social-emotional intelligence, giving them the tools to understand, name, and process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Most recently, I’ve published “Hippiness Is: Ultimate Crystal Guide”, an A-Z reference for all crystals along with their energetic properties, chakra associations, and suggested intentional uses.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Adaptability: Both personal and professional experiences have asked me time and time again to adapt to change. While not always comfortable, change is what gives us room to grow.
Authenticity: Knowing and honoring who we are at our core allows us to make choices that reflect our values. Though it takes practice and continued exploration, our authenticity helps us create a life that feels nourishing and aligned with our purpose.
Self-Love: Without this, we have no compass. Loving ourselves means doing the internal work that many people avoid. It means maintaining boundaries that promote our wellness and longevity. When we make choices that aren’t rooted in self-love, we risk eroding the essence of who we truly are.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am always open to booking collaborations with other creators!
I love having conversations that offer value to listeners, especially in the realms of mental health, trauma recovery, and entrepreneurship.
I also enjoy co-writing articles, appearing on podcasts, and participating in workshops. The best way to reach me about collaborations is via this form: https://forms.gle/gCeMDihrJKyCe9t26
