We recently connected with Brée Nachelle Hill and have shared our conversation below.
Brée Nachelle , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from my family. My grandparents were blue-collar workers in Baltimore, and they showed me what steady grit looks like. They got up every day and did what needed to be done, no excuses.
My mom was the first in our family to go to college, and from her I learned possibility. She taught me that you can outgrow the limits you were born into.
My dad was a serial entrepreneur, so I grew up watching someone turn ideas into income and setbacks into lessons. He taught me to stay creative even when the odds are tight.
Those three influences shaped how I navigate life. When I face a hard season, I lean on all of it: the grit, the hope, and the innovation. That combination is the reason I’m still here, still building, and still moving forward.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My work lives where creativity, mindfulness, and technology meet. I help people build their brands and their communities in a way that feels human, intentional, and true to who they are. My background in digital media, including my time at NASA, taught me how to tell clear stories and build trust at scale. Now I use those skills to support creators, founders, and organizations who want to grow without burning out.
What excites me most is helping people protect their creative energy. So many of us are overwhelmed by constant content demands and fast-moving tech. I teach a calmer way to create, one that centers clarity, nervous system care, and sustainable strategy.
Right now I’m focused on expanding my ecosystem: my book “Aligned, Not Automated,” the Synergy Squad community, and new workshops on mindful tech and AI for creators. Everything I build supports the same mission: helping people create with intention and thrive in ways that feel grounded, spacious, and aligned.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities that shaped my journey are resilience, curiosity, and clear communication.
Resilience helped me keep going through uncertainty. My advice is to build routines that support your nervous system so you can adapt instead of burn out.
Curiosity pushed me to keep learning, from social strategy to mindfulness to AI. Stay open. Treat change as information, not a threat.
And clear communication has been the foundation of everything I do. Practice saying what you mean in simple, human language. Clarity builds trust, and trust creates opportunity.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I’m always open to collaborating with people and organizations who care about creativity, community, and well-being. I’m drawn to projects that help people protect their energy, tell their stories, or create with more intention.
On the celebrity side, my dream collaborations include Oprah, Issa Rae, Scott Evans, and Keke Palmer.
On the organizational side, I’d love to collaborate with Mantra Magazine, Real Simple, the Smithsonian, Black Girls Rock!, Shondaland, TED and TEDx, Afrotech, and SXSW. Anyone building in that spirit — artists, founders, community leaders — is someone I’d love to explore ideas with.
The easiest way to connect is through my website, on social at @BaronessBree, or by email at [email protected]
. If our missions align, I’m always open to a conversation.
