We recently connected with Leon Araujo and have shared our conversation below.
Leon , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from my parents. Seeing them work hard to achieve their dreams really allowed me to become a hard worker man and pursue my desires. Having immigrated to the United States, hard work was necessary to survive. I began working at the age of 16 and haven’t really stopped since. Long days, long nights and a lot of work have helped me achieve everything. I’m quite thankful for my work ethic and the privilege of being to work on something I truly love.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a visual artist based out of Ogden, Utah. I specialize in Digital art, Murals and videography. I am the owner of Noel Creative House. A design House where we help businesses and people find a visual answer to their problems. Whether it’s branding, graphic design, mural installations or more. My third solo Art Show exhibition will be happening on the first Friday of January of 2024 at the Bonneville in Ogden, Utah. Would love to see you there
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
One of the most impactful skills I learned was to listen. Truly listening. It has helped me understand and communicate much better which allows me to deliver a product that hits every bullet point my client asked for.
Another one was to put in the work. Sometimes when you’re freelancing or don’t quite have a boss, it’s easy to take time off. Don’t show up on time or not put in 100% of effort. If anything, it should be the other way around. When you work for yourself give it more than a hundred percent, do more, show up early. It’s hard work but it’s worth it.
Never stop learning. Seek education. Attend workshops. Do new things and push your limits. You’ll end up learning something that will get you closer to you dreams
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Collaboration has played a huge role in my career. I am always looking for new artist to team up with and create something amazing. If you’re an artist, visual or musician. Hit me up! Let’s make something amazing together
