Meet Christopher Payton

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christopher Payton a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Christopher, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

Optimism is not a natural state for me. It has come from many many years and experiences that I have seen God show up in my life when things may not have looked good at the time. Optimism is a great synonym for faith or trust. I believe God’s plan for me and our business is not designed to fail, therefore, I am always optimistic in every situation holding on to the faith that He will provide the next client, the next opportunity, or the next breakthrough. It certainly is not easy to hold onto every second, in every situation, but I truly believe if we are aligned with His goals and His vision for us and our business, He will deliver a blessed outcome.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

In February of 2025, my wife Sabrina and I started the business, The 615 Negotiator. We saw over the course of 16 years in the car dealerships world, that the car-buying process is broken. Consumers hate the current process of purchasing a vehicle. It takes hours of research, hours of negotiation and frustration, only to be unsure if you actually got a good deal or not.
We knew we could fix it for folks by taking over and handling the research and negotiation process for our clients. Our mission quickly evolved into not only helping those who hate the car-buying process, but really trying to protect the targeted individuals at the dealership. This mission is where the 615 Negotiator-Your Car Buying Superhero was birthed. It has become a desire to help people through the process and eliminate all of the stress and headache associated with buying a car.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Well, certainly my 16 years of dealership experience helped me develop this concept. Managing a sales department in a dealership at a high level gave me the understanding and knowledge to build a car-buying service business. One of the most important acknowledgements we have made through this is inviting those who are really good at what they do to come alongside of us and assist with tasks and managing of projects that we are not experts in. Third, and most important circles back to my faith in Jesus Christ, and my belief that God is in this business and desires our success.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

One of the greatest challenges of starting a niche business or service, is the consumer does not realize it is an option for them. In turn, the obstacle we are working to overcome is consumer awareness. As people learn that they do not have to buy a vehicle alone, there are options to solving this problem for them, we will see that turn. Until then, we are working with advertising and marketing to get the word out. Networking and social media have been super helpful in this process as well. But groups like BoldJourney, are such a great resource to small business owners looking to do something a little different and allow this avenue to reach people. It is a very cool resource.
