Meet Krisztian Pivarnyik

We recently connected with Krisztian Pivarnyik and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Krisztian, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose through my own journey as an immigrant. When I first came to the United States, I experienced firsthand how complicated, intimidating, and often unfair the immigration system can feel—especially for someone navigating it alone. I remember how overwhelming it was to not only understand the process, but to trust that my future was in the hands of a system that didn’t always feel accessible or humane.

Going through that struggle changed me. It opened my eyes to how many people face the same fear, confusion, and uncertainty, and how much difference it makes when even one person steps in to guide, protect, and empower them. I realized that I didn’t want anyone to feel as lost or unsupported as I once did.

That’s when my purpose became clear: helping other immigrants find stability, safety, and opportunity through the very system that once challenged me. Every case I take on is personal, because I’ve lived that experience. My purpose is rooted in empathy, resilience, and the belief that people deserve dignity and a fair chance—no matter where they were born.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am the Founder of Pivarnyik Miskolczi Law Firm, an immigration and litigation practice that I built from the ground up as an immigrant myself. My work focuses on helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate some of the most complex and life-changing legal processes—whether it’s employment-based immigration like EB-1 and EB-2 NIW, family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, or high-stakes applications such as EB-5 investment visas.

What excites me most about what I do is that every case has the power to change someone’s life. As someone who personally experienced the uncertainty of the U.S. immigration system, I bring both legal expertise and genuine empathy to the people I represent. I understand how overwhelming the process can be, so I built a firm that blends strategy, efficiency, and human connection. Seeing clients achieve stability, safety, or the opportunity to build a new life in the U.S.—that is what drives my purpose every day.

Over the years, I’ve led my firm to more than 200 favorable decisions across USCIS, immigration courts, DHS, and U.S. embassies worldwide. We’ve had the privilege of representing EB-1 athletes, EB-2 NIW researchers and engineers, LGBTQ asylum seekers, high-risk clients from illiberal regimes, and families from every corner of the world. Alongside immigration, we’ve expanded our practice into family law, probate, business law, personal injury, torts, and intellectual property, allowing us to support clients through a wider range of legal challenges.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back the three qualities that made the biggest impact on my journey were resilience, strategic thinking about my firm’s growth and empathy grounded in lived experience.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

I would travel the world with my wife and my parents gathering as much experience around the globe as possible. This is already something we dedicate all of our free time to with my wife, exploring as much countries and cultures as possible every year.
