Story & Lesson Highlights with Donna Wojcik of Everett

We recently had the chance to connect with Donna Wojcik and have shared our conversation below.

Donna, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
The past few years have really helped me get to know myself, not just as a business owner, but as a person. I would say that I am proud of building my self-confidence as a leader, a teacher, a healing arts practitioner, and a person.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Donna, the owner of Kindred Healing Space and the practitioner behind Your Kindred Spirit. My work is recently rooted in Traditional, Indigenous Filipino Healing Arts as a Hilot Binabaylan, as well as Reiki and intuitive spiritual guidance. At the heart of everything I do is helping people reconnect with their own inner knowing, their energy, and their sense of belonging, both within themselves and in community.

Kindred Healing Space is the brick-and-mortar studio, as well an alternative healing and wellness space, that I founded and own. It’s a place where people can soften and come back to themselves. We offer yoga, meditation, sound baths, workshops, and private healing sessions with a variety of practitioners. It’s not just a studio, it’s a community. Everything we offer is chosen with inclusivity, care, and healing in mind. My hope is that anyone who walks in feels welcomed, understood, and supported.

Through Your Kindred Spirit, my private practice, I offer Traditional and Indigenous Filipino Healing Arts, energetic healing, intuitive readings, spiritual guidance, and trainings. My approach is a blend of ancestral wisdom, modern energy work, and intuitive channeling. A big part of my work is helping people access their own gifts rather than feeling like they have to rely on mine. I truly believe everyone is intuitive and capable of deep healing. I am simply available to provide the container where that remembering can happen.

My path has been shaped by my lineage, my lived experiences, and a commitment to making healing accessible, especially for people who haven’t always seen themselves represented in wellness spaces. Holding space for community, teaching spiritual care, and supporting others in their intuitive development isn’t just what I do; it’s what I’m here for.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I felt that I had to play it small and be silent, especially coming from a Filipino/Asian household. Through my own healing experience, I now know that it’s okay to speak up for myself and others as well as to take up space where I’m needed. I no longer fear the judgement of others when I do this.

Spiritually, I’ve always had experiences, even as a child. I always had a sense of the unseen around me and intuitive downloads. Due to fear and the belief that my experiences were bad or evil, I suppressed this. Now, I allow my intuition to lead me in my work. I am no longer afraid to share that this is what I experience and that I am aware of the energy around me.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has been one of my greatest teachers. It revealed the depth of my resilience and the power I carry within myself. In many ways, I’ve learned far more from my challenges than from my successes, because hardship forces you to meet yourself honestly, to grow, and to transform. My ability to hold space for others comes directly from those lived experiences. Because I’ve been there, I can show up with genuine empathy, compassion, and understanding.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A commitment I hold, no matter how long it takes, is helping to bring more representation into the healing and wellness industry. I’m dedicated to expanding what healing looks like and who it’s for. As an Indigenous Filipino healing practitioner, I want to normalize seeing culturally diverse healers, spiritual teachers, and wellness facilitators in leadership roles. My goal is to assist in creating spaces where people from marginalized and underrepresented communities can experience practitioners who look like them, share their lived experiences, and offer care in ways that feel culturally rooted.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
My hope, when I’m gone, is that I helped hold a safe space for people and helped them feel seen and heard, regardless of their age, race and ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
