Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Amethyst of South Suburbs

Amethyst shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Amethyst , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I find profound joy in the time I spend with my sons- moments where we create new traditions, celebrate small victories, and honor the beauty of simply being together. These experiences remind me that inspiration often lives in the quiet spaces of our everyday lives. As an artist, I’m committed to transforming those moments into work that uplifts others, because every day we’re blessed to see is a gift worth giving back through creativity.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a Recording Artist, Speaker, Influencer, and Entrepreneur. Through my companies—Imperial Dream Initiative NP, Majestic Royalty Productions, LLC, and Majesty by Amethyst®️, a luxurious embellished candle line that reminds others of their inherent royalty—I use my gifts to inspire, uplift, and illuminate purpose. I’m someone who sees beauty in life’s every detail. Yet, of all my creations, the role that brings me the deepest joy and fulfillment is being a Mother. My sons are my greatest masterpieces and the heartbeat behind everything I do.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest moment of feeling powerful came when I realized the gift of manifestation through prayer. I recognized that my voice carried weight—that my words could shape outcomes, open doors, and call things into existence. That same power fuels my passion for communication and for nurturing the gifts, talents, and unrealized potential in others.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back for much of my life was the feeling that my gifts weren’t sufficient. I spent years comparing myself to others who were doing similar work, questioning whether what I carried was enough. But over time, I discovered my own strength and power. I realized there is no one quite like me. Even those who share the same creative space could never express it the way I do, because my gift and my calling are uniquely designed for the people I’m meant to serve.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends understand the genuine authenticity and thoughtfulness of my heart. They’ll tell you that what matters most to me now is pursuing purpose and passion, building a legacy of impact, and serving humanity with intention. Above all, I’m committed to serving God and living in a way that makes Him proud.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had ten years left, I would stop pausing and procrastinating in every area of my life. I would live each day fuller, more complete, and more purposeful. I wouldn’t delay what could be done tomorrow if I could start it today. I wouldn’t postpone travel, joy, meaningful connections, or relationships that breathe life, energy, and reciprocity into my journey. I would seize every moment with intention, living boldly and leaving an imprint so that when my time is up, people know I lived. Not only that I lived, but that I left them inspired, empowered, and reinvigorated to pursue their own purpose, passion, and path.
