Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Prema Love of Bali

Prema Love shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Prema , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time I felt true Joy was when I was with my beautiful community here in Bali at the nine year celebration party of my dear friend Sayuri on 11 11 at her epic vegan restaurant called “Sayuri”. Everyone was so happy, smiling, hugging each other, laughing, dancing, singing, celebrating. It felt like a beautiful celebration of life. It was so uplifting and joyful and ecstatic. The theme for the event was “Home.” Many people dressed in pajamas, and it felt very much like being at home and everybody’s children were out playing, wild and free. It was an expansive evening that was heart opening that will always be cherished and remembered by all. It was inspiring to see what’s possible when you have a beautiful loving community, all working towards the same goals and dreams of peace, harmony, love, creative expression and beauty.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would have to say my beautiful grandmother who recently passed. She was an incredibly spiritual soul that was very much about service and devotion and she also helped children in need. She really nurtured my devotional heart and my spiritual nature from early on, and I felt that she really saw me. She brought me to many spiritual events during my childhood which really planted a seed in my heart that really blossomed.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Growing up I didn’t see healthy relationships. I witnessed a lot of toxic, abusive marriages. I never had a healthy loving relationship modeled to me. This really affected my relationships growing up and I continued on the pattern of my family lineage. I’ve done a lot of work on myself and I’ve dedicated my life to the inner soul work. I spend a lot of time reading and studying conscious relating. I’ve had to break a lot of generational curses and patterns. I’ve spent a lot of time alone reflecting and integrating shadow and darkness. My spiritual practice has been a huge refuge and I’ve created spiritual communities around the globe which creates a very strong foundation and support system for us. All we are breaking so many patterns that no longer serve anymore as a collective. We are redefining new paradigm conscious, sacred relationships.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They know how much eating vegan is important to me for health, environment and the animals. I believe creating conscious community is so important, to take care each other. Devotion as a spiritual practice is extremely important to me and to help people connect to the divine mother and divine feminine energy at this time. I believe we are in the great reset and great awakening for all of humanity. I’m here to help support a positive shift in consciousness through sacred sound, frequency. This is a return and honoring of the sacred feminine in all.
It’s time to care compassionately, to love and serve our beloved earth mother, animals, elderly, the disabled, the neglected, the abused and suffering. It’s a time to co create a new era that’s safe for children and all. May all beings be happy and free.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m out in nature in hot springs, waterfalls, hiking, barefoot, connecting to the land. I love being in spiritual ceremonies. I often go to water or fire purification ceremonies here in Bali and it is always super powerful. I love being by water and it’s such a healing cleansing energy. I also feel most at peace when I’m singing healing music with my community as I feel sacred music is such a powerful way to unite our hearts and voices towards a higher vision of peace for the world. It’s a powerful practice that is grounding and expansive.
