We’re looking forward to introducing you to Deependra Dehariya. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Deependra, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
For me, integrity always comes first.
Intelligence and energy matter a lot, especially in the worlds I work in, video game content creation, esports strategy, and creative writing, but integrity is what keeps everything grounded. Skills can be learned, energy can be managed, but the way you show up for people every day says everything about your character.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Deependra, the creator behind Dknight263, where I blend strategy-focused gaming content with my passion for storytelling. I’ve always loved breaking down clutch moments in games, and that naturally led me into writing my first fiction book, Dance of the Pisces: Love, Dreams, and the Cosmic Journey, with the next part already in the works.
What makes my journey unique is how I bridge two worlds, esports-style gameplay and creative, character-driven writing. Both let me explore human behavior, decision-making, and imagination in different ways. My goal is simple: create content that inspires, entertains, and makes people think a little deeper, whether they’re gamers or readers.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My biggest lessons about work came from my father. He worked hard every single day without ever complaining, and that discipline shaped everything I do. Later, when I moved away from home, I found new inspiration in the poetry and honesty of Zakir Khan (an Indian stand-up performer) and the depth and resilience in Bhuvan Bam’s (another content creator turned actor in Indian programs) interviews. Together, they taught me that hard work isn’t just about effort—it’s about heart, consistency, and staying true to your story.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me patience and perspective, things success never could. When life gets difficult, you’re forced to slow down, understand who you are, and rebuild with intention. Success feels good, but struggle teaches you resilience, empathy, and the ability to keep moving even when no one is watching. Those lessons stay with you far longer.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to growing Dknight263 into a long-term creative brand and completing the entire Dance of the Pisces book series, no matter how long the journey takes. These two projects carry my identity, my love for strategy, storytelling, and connecting with people through both gameplay and narrative. They aren’t just goals; they’re promises I’ve made to myself. Even if progress is slow or life gets busy, I’ll keep building, writing, and refining until both reach the level of impact I envision.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I’ve learned that every person carries an inner world far more complex than what we see on the surface. Most people rush through life reacting to moments, but I pay attention to the quiet details, the emotions behind decisions, the small patterns in behavior, the way someone’s story shapes how they show up.
Whether I’m creating content or writing fiction, this understanding helps me connect with people on a deeper level. It reminds me that everyone is fighting a battle we may never see, and that empathy is more powerful than judgment.
