We’re looking forward to introducing you to Victor Loo. Check out our conversation below.
Victor, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are dedicated to intentional structure and personal accountability. I begin with a consistent self-care routine that supports my energy and wellness, which I believe is essential for showing up as an effective leader. I then review my calendars—professional engagements, project milestones, and personal commitments to ensure I am fully prepared and aware of what is ahead. Finally, I assess my inbox and identify any urgent items or opportunities that require timely attention, allowing me to set a clear and proactive plan for the day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Victor Loo (he/him), Founder/Principal Consultant of Victor Loo Consulting and an androgynous model #iStyle4Life. I help individuals and organizations create meaningful change through consulting, wellness, and strategic guidance—always with a focus on style, intentionality, and equity. Beyond my work with clients, I continue my journey as an artist and androgynous model, gracing runways, appearing on magazine covers, collaborating with designers, and serving as an ambassador for many brands. For me, collaboration and creativity go hand in hand, and I prioritize elevating underrepresented voices in every space I enter.
I am passionate about the intersection of arts, fashion, and healthcare. With trends constantly evolving in fashion, makeup, and hairstyles, I enjoy navigating these dynamic industries, and I firmly believe that every positive change, whether personal, societal, or systemic, should be stylish and inclusive. As a devoted Virgo, I aim to inspire growth, innovation, and resilience in the people and communities I work with, helping them align personal and professional goals in meaningful and equitable ways.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I think the earliest memory I have of feeling truly powerful was when I decided to leave Singapore. I had a successful modeling career and a comfortable lifestyle there, but I realized I wanted something more and wanted to reinvent myself. Taking that leap, moving to the United States, and stepping into the unknown was terrifying, but it also made me feel strong in a way I hadn’t before. It was not about control over others; it was about taking ownership of my own life and choices. That moment taught me that real power comes from courage and the willingness to embrace change
When did you last change your mind about something important?
The last time I changed my mind about something important was when I realized I no longer needed to pursue a C-Suite position to define my success. For a long time, I equated achievement with climbing the corporate ladder, but I came to understand that what truly matters to me is finding work that #SparkJoy and allows for a better work-life balance. Letting go of that narrow definition of success was freeing, it allows me to focus on meaningful work, personal growth, and the impact I can make without sacrificing my wellness.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value I protect at all costs is equity. As a non-binary, first-generation immigrant, I have seen firsthand how systems often leave marginalized communities behind. That experience has made me committed to increasing access, amplifying voices that are too often overlooked, and advocating whenever I can. Protecting this value is not just professional, but it is deeply personal, because I know what it feels like to navigate barriers, and I want to help create spaces where everyone, regardless of identity has the opportunity to thrive.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What false labels are you still carrying?
One false label I am still carrying is the expectation that I always have to present my best self. As a non-binary, first-generation immigrant, people often assume I am confident, composed, and have everything figured out, but that is not always the case. I have realized that I do not have to live up to that image to be capable or effective. Embracing vulnerability and authenticity allows me to connect more deeply, grow from challenges, and show that strength can coexist with imperfection.
