Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Burwell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sarah , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Growing up, I was really shy. I got teased a lot and I was self-conscious about my weight, my skin tone, and just how I looked in general. I felt different, so I kept to myself. Over time, I realized I couldn’t keep shrinking who I was. I started focusing on the things that made me unique and pouring into my craft. Little by little, I learned how to love myself and appreciate what I bring to the table.
My confidence didn’t happen overnight it came from doing the inner work, showing up for myself, and growing through the things I used to be insecure about. Now I carry that with me, and it helps me stay grounded, real, and comfortable in who I am.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
“I specialize in medical tattooing and permanent makeup, helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. What excites me most about this work is seeing the transformation , it’s not just about the look, but how it can completely change the way someone feels about themselves.
What makes my work special is my artistic background. I bring an eye for detail, color, and symmetry to every treatment, which allows me to create results that feel natural, personalized, and beautifully enhanced. My goal is always to highlight someone’s unique features and restore confidence, whether it’s through corrective tattooing, scar camouflage, or subtle permanent makeup.
This work is my passion, and I love combining artistry with care to help people feel their best every

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, three things really shaped my journey: my artistic eye, patience and persistence, and the ability to connect with clients. My art background gave me the skills to create precise, beautiful work. Patience helped me master techniques over time, and connecting with clients made the results truly meaningful.
For anyone starting out, my advice is simple: practice your craft, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and really listen to the people you’re helping. Skills matter, but how you make someone feel is what will set you apart.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes! I’m always open to collaborating with professionals who share my passion for helping people feel confident. Right now, I’m especially interested in partnering with plastic surgeons and oncologists to provide services like medical tattooing and restorative permanent makeup.
If you’re interested in collaborating, you can reach me on Instagram at @thearchartista or by email at [email protected]. I’d love to connect and explore how we can work together to make a real difference for clients.”
