We were lucky to catch up with Brad Hutt recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brad, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
One of the core values of our practice is to give generously, whether that be through our time, our services, our resources, etc. There’s a verse in Proverbs that says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” We strive to have an office culture that provides our clients with a place of refuge from whatever may be happening outside our walls. We want to offer an environment where people feel safe and relaxed, which in turn allows them to grow and flourish, physically, mentally, an emotionally.
This spirit of generosity was shown to me by my grandparents and parents. They loved to host get togethers, invited friends to stay at our home growing up, and consistently donated to businesses/churches/organizations. They taught and showed me “The Law of Reciprocity,” which reminds us that what we give out will be given back to us, whether now or in the future. I was able to see what a blessing it is to give with a cheerful heart, and in turn, God was able to bless them abundantly. The spirit of generosity must first take root in the heart, then the home, and finally, out in our community.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Currently, we provide chiropractic care to pregnant moms, kiddos, entire families, and anyone who is looking to live their life at their highest capacity. We specialize in neurologically-based chiropractic care that addresses each individual’s ability to perform optimally. Professionally, I am continuing to learn new techniques that we can incorporate into our practice. I’ve run into several cases where I’ve had to think outside the box. The emotional component that presents with physical pain is something I’ve been diving into recently. Our thoughts/feelings/past emotional ties can show up as physical issues, so I’ve been working on developing a process to help our clients work through those areas. So far, the results have been promising and we are excited at the prospect of incorporating this into our services. We’re always looking for ways to improve the services we provide and increase the chances of success for our clients.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Stand by your word – If you say you’re going to do something, make sure you do it, the best you can, in a timely manner.
Don’t take it personal – Many times, people are just projecting their emotions/feelings onto you. Also, learn to move on from rejection and people saying “no” to your service. Find ways to detach yourself from that experience and continue to move forward.
Always do your best – Simply do your best at that moment. Do what you can and find peace with that. I’ve learned that doing the best I can with the circumstance I am in leaves me with peace, not regret or self-judgment. John Wooden once said, “Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.”

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth and improvement these past 12 months has been getting clear on my identity. I know who I am and what I want to be about. Having core values to filter my thoughts and actions through has been a gamechanger in my personal and professional life. It starts from within and then begins to overflow into every other area of your life. Keeping things simple and precise has been very beneficial towards making the changes I needed to make. It’s simple, but not easy and that is a good daily reminder.
Being clear on who you are and what you stand for permeates your entire life. Outside influences and peer pressures don’t seem to impact me or my decision making process. When you begin operating out of your true identity, there is a peace and contentment that comes with it.
