We’re looking forward to introducing you to Yasmin Elzomor. Check out our conversation below.
Yasmin, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
I would say dancing does this to me! I started belly dancing a couple years ago and it’s one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made. I never thought I would do it professionally but now I do gigs and it brings me the most joy. Expressing myself through the art of movement is sacred, especially through belly dancing which is a beautiful and cultural art form. Being half Egyptian has made me curious to understand my roots so dancing allows me to learn more about my ancestral lineage.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a transformational guide, multi-passionate creative, thought leader, spiritual mentor, speaker, author, and podcast host of Humanity Feels. I help people reclaim their power, embody their truth, and create freedom in love, intimacy, and life.
After a profound and sudden spiritual awakening at the age of 21 and a journey through heartbreak and self‑reconstruction, I emerged from rock bottom with a fierce dedication to helping others alchemize pain into power and rebuild from their own destruction. With empathy, intuitive wisdom, and unwavering honesty, I guide people through deep inner work; helping them confront shadows, rewrite narratives, awaken to their sovereignty, and step into their true power.
More than a mentor, I am a catalyst for transformation, igniting power within others, guiding them to confront shadows, awaken fully, and thrive in their truth.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I actually grew up feeling very powerless. I struggled feeling confident and secure in myself so I’ve had to do a lot of inner work to become self-possessed and rooted in who I am. I had severe social anxiety, I was a major people pleaser so I felt like I was constantly losing sight of my own identity, and I didn’t know where I was going or path I even wanted to take. It wasn’t until my first spiritual awakening at 21 that I actually began seeing myself more clearly and as time went on, I discovered more of my own power. My 20’s were so much about peeling back layers and trying to understand who I truly was.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I would say the fear of success. I’ve had to work through a lot of self sabotage because being successful is scarier to me than failing. Becoming successful means that you’ll outgrow people, and that means you’ll have to say goodbye and grieve certain relationships that won’t be able to move forward with you.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. I never want to lead anyone astray. Integrity is one of my biggest values so it’s important for me to show up publicly the same way I show up privately. Putting on a mask is exhausting and it’s something I’ve done in the past. Over the last few years, I’ve become more comfortable with my own vulnerability and showing people who I really am on an intellectual, emotional, and spiritual level.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember how I made them feel. My goal is to touch everyone’s soul in one way or another whether that’s through mentoring, dancing, my creativity, or just me being my full authentic self. To me, that’s legacy; making others feel safe and seen in your presence. Influence is shallow and doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t come with depth.
