We recently had the chance to connect with Lucia Colosio and have shared our conversation below.
Lucia, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Absolutely. Love in my family, with my life partner and our dog. Their warmth and love, in everyday life, are enough to make me truly happy. I definitely love my entire family more than anything, and knowing they’re doing well makes me very happy.
I also love travelling, because it enriches my cultural baggage.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
For those who don’t know me, I’m a professional dancer with a career spanning the world, based in Turin, atm freelancer.
I’ve just completed a contract with the Verona Arena, and my next one will be at the National Theatre of Beijing.
As for contracts, galas, and projects for 2026, I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but you’ll definitely find out by following me.
I’m a very determined, emotional, and romantic woman.
With a big heart, and at the same time a very strong character. I’m an artist, in love with my art. I live life with the goal of moving people, and being moved by them. Not just on stage, but rather, in everyday life. I enjoy being able to convey who I am without filters, but being myself, with all my strengths and weaknesses. I have a weakness for authenticity and kindness.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Definitely my mom. At just two years old, she told me I was dancing in a diaper on the beach, and who could stop me? At three, I saw Swan Lake on TV for the first time, and I was completely captivated. At the same age, I began my life as a dancer, after begging my parents to let me go to ballroom because, as I said at the time, “I’m going to be a ballerina when I grow up, Mom!”
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
It taught me so much, both unfortunately and fortunately.
I’ve learned to almost never put things off. To seize opportunities without asking too many questions. To never give up fighting for my dreams and goals.
From true suffering, you learn to give true and proper value to life itself. You learn the importance of gratitude, and of finding a reason to smile every day. Because while we’re here, we’re so fortunate to live this journey called life.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. I’m such a transparent woman that everything I think is visible on my face. I could never pretend to be someone I’m not.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Suffering so much for the people who disappoint me and make me feel bad.
