Story & Lesson Highlights with Lauren Wilson

Lauren Wilson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Lauren , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes! After two years of perfecting my homemade ice cream recipes, I finally published them on my website for folks to purchase.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! My name is Lauren and I am a homemade ice cream expert! I started my business, Sweet Lo’s Ice Cream in 2013, mere days after tasting homemade ice cream for the first time. Throughout this 10+ years, my journey has taken me all across the country, spreading the homemade gospel to as many people who would listen. Now, my ice cream recipes are available for purchase on Payhip.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
My people pleasing side has served its purpose and now has to go!

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
Listening to Whitney Houston records always helped!

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Honesty and genuine care for others.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
Jumping out of a plane!
