Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jacklyn Romano, I am a 28 year old multi-business owner. I am the owner of Jacklyn.fit Studio since 2020 and BikinisbyJacklyn since 2022. Recently, I started hosting large women based Pilates events to help grow a community within my local area. All of my businesses steam from making other women feel good & proud in their own skin.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My family. My family always has my back and roots for me no matter what.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
In 2020, just weeks before opening my fitness studio, Covid struck. I had to close my doors and thought this was the end of my new business venture. I thank god everyday, that Covid taught me how to pivot and create a new way to generate income to keep my business alive.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The fitness industry makes health & wellness seem so complicated. Each & every body is different, but finding what works best for you & your body isn’t as far away as they make it sound. Having a healthy relationship with food and fitness is very possible for everyone at any age.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
Yes, recently I started hosting large women based fitness events in my community and I have never felt more alive. Bringing hundred of women together to wear my activewear brand, workout, & meet other women in our community has brought new passion to my life and business. This year is all about community and these events have been growing in such a positive and fulfilling way.
