Angel Dweh shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Angel , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
For me, integrity is important; it holds greater significance; it embodies the principle that one’s actions should be rooted in honesty, fairness, and genuine intent. Integrity serves as a guiding beacon, ensuring that our choices reflect our values and contribute positively to the world around us.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Angel Dweh, an independent Afrobeat artist and creative force capturing attention across the music industry. I am not just a musician; I am a visionary who weaves sound, emotion, and experience into immersive worlds that listeners can truly feel. My work is distinguished by my authenticity, with every lyric reflecting a piece of my journey, each project crafted with intention, and every performance showcasing my unwavering commitment to growth, resilience, and truth.

My brand is built on real-life stories, cultural pride, and an unyielding drive to inspire. What sets me apart is my unique ability to transform personal experiences into universal messages, bridging the gap between vulnerability and strength. Whether I’m in the studio crafting my next music project, collaborating with fellow creatives, or gearing up for a live performance, I approach my art with passion and purpose.

Currently, I am focused on expanding my sound, developing innovative visual concepts, and fostering deeper connections with my fans, my “Angels”. As I prepare for my upcoming musical journey, the “Rebirth Tour’2026.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
Life has imparted invaluable lessons about the importance of hard work. To truly earn something for oneself, effort is essential. Growing up, my parents instilled in me the belief that diligence and perseverance are crucial in achieving my desires. As a result, I have learned a great deal, and everything I possess has been earned through my own hard work and dedication. This journey has not only shaped my character but has also deepened my appreciation for the fruits of my labor.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could speak to my younger self, I would say, “Great job! You held onto your belief in your inner voice as a dancer, and that determination truly paid off. You embraced every opportunity, from singing and performing in school musicals to excelling in sports, showcasing your diverse talents. I’m proud of you for ignoring the naysayers who couldn’t believe that a football player could dance, sing, or act on stage as you do. Your courage to defy their expectations is something to be celebrated. Because of that fearless spirit and the dedication, you put into your training and discipline, I stand today as an entertainer, grateful for everything you accomplished. Thank you for believing in yourself.”

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Staying true to my roots, my identity, and the vibrant communities that have shaped my journey is an unwavering commitment for me. I firmly believe that genuine impact stems from honoring my heritage, celebrating the rich traditions, steadfast principles, and the remarkable people who have contributed to my story. In every note of my music, every thread of my storytelling, and throughout my daily interactions, I steadfastly refuse to compromise that authenticity for fleeting trends or fleeting convenience.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I find my greatest sense of peace while on tour, where I have the privilege of sharing my musical gift with others. Through the power of music, I strive to heal and uplift, reminding people that life holds more sunshine than rain. Each performance becomes a moment of connection, an opportunity to inspire hope and joy in those who listen.
