We’re looking forward to introducing you to Adin Thiemann. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Adin, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I spend my days mostly editing previous shoots or putting together video projects! My afternoons and nights consist of work with the Mercyhurst Women’s ACHA Hockey team capturing content!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Yeah so my brand Adin Thiemann Photography and Videography has changed a lot in the past year. I started off just doing sports pictures 5-6 years ago. More recently and in the past couple of years it has grown into wedding photography and videography, concert photography, so many other areas, but I would say the majority of my shoots now are brand work for major companies like Nike, Lululemon, Under Armour, companies like that!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents have both always said just to work hard and put your best foot forward no matter what the job is. This really applied with my photography and got me to where I am today because there was a time where I wasn’t shooting for big name celebrities or professional companies and I had to work hard at lesser known opportunities to get to where I am today!
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Probably to just trust that everything will fall into place. With my company and a lot of other things in life I think there were moments and times where I worried so much how things would turn out, but after living and experiencing life to the point where I am now I’ve learned that it all works out exactly how it is supposed to!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes everything you see on my social media whether personal or my business is who I am. I love going on adventures, traveling, meeting people, and all of my work with my company allows me to enjoy all the other things I enjoy in my life whether it’s traveling for a concert or including friends and family in shoots I do!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes definitely! A large part of photography and art in general is working hard with very little recognition in the beginning because it takes a while to build a brand. Luckily I learned to love my work from the beginning no matter how many people saw it, and it has allowed me to critique and define my own work into what it is today!
