Christy Stransky shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Christy, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Travel in general sets my soul on fire, but losing track of time and diving deep—literally—reminds me that my heart truly belongs to the water. I love being on a boat, and if there’s fishing involved, that’s a plus.
The same feeling happens when I humble myself and do gymnastics. I did the sport for about 17 years and never realized the influence it had on my life until recently starting back, especially regarding focus and mental stability. There’s nothing else that exists except you and the mat.
And the same thing happens when I’m on the ocean. It’s just me, the water, and the Lord!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Christy Stransky, and I have the privilege of living out two careers that I’m deeply passionate about. In my primary career, I work in the dental industry specializing in digital dentistry, new office builds, technology integration, and creating systems that help practices increase efficiency, production, and patient experience. I love helping doctors bring their vision to life—whether that’s designing a new practice, introducing cutting-edge technology, or improving workflows so their teams can thrive.
Alongside that career, I’m also the founder and owner of Gypsy Waltz Studios, a Christian-based fitness community built on faith, movement, and transformation. What started as a personal journey of healing became a space where people come to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually. We offer yoga, cycling, rowing, barre, kettlebell, TRX, bounce, and other modalities—all in infrared heat—but what truly makes us unique is the heart behind it. Gypsy is a place where people feel seen, supported, and loved, and where we encourage each individual to live with purpose.
Both roles allow me to do what I love most: help people. Whether I’m helping a dental practice expand with confidence or guiding someone through movement and faith, my mission is the same—to create environments where people can flourish. I’m currently working on expanding Gypsy Waltz into new cities, developing community partnerships, and continuing to elevate the way we lead with wellness and intentional living.
At the end of the day, my story is rooted in grace, grit, and God’s guidance. Everything I do stems from the belief that when you say “yes” to your calling, the ripple effect can change lives—including your own.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Love and hate. Both can break the bond, but only Love can restore it!
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
One of the defining wounds of my life was losing both of my parents. Their passing changed me in ways I didn’t understand at the time. It broke me open, but it also pushed me deeper into my faith, my purpose, and the woman God was shaping me to become.
My healing has come through prayer, community, building spaces like Gypsy Waltz that remind people they are loved and never walking alone, and choosing every day to live with the same strength my parents poured into me.
What once felt like a wound has become the foundation of my purpose — to love people deeply, create community, and steward the life I’ve been given with gratitude.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
Some truths are so woven into my life that I forget to even say them out loud. One is that life is hard, but it’s a lot harder without the Lord. My faith has carried me through every season—both the peaks and the valleys. Another foundational truth for me is that family, faith, and following my heart guide every decision I make. I’ve learned to waltz through life with grace, even when it feels impossible, and to remember that we’re meant to lift others up—whether it’s in a dental practice I’m supporting or a class at Gypsy Waltz.
I heard something recently that stuck with me: Be kind and give compassion to everyone you meet. The same person you meet on your way up may be reintroduced to you on your way down. That reminder of humility and kindness is one of the most grounding truths I hold onto.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What pain do you resist facing directly?
The pain I resist facing directly is loss. Grieving has always been extremely difficult for me, no matter how many gut punches life has thrown my way. My father passed when I was young, and even though that was incredibly hard, the loss that truly shaped me—and changed the way I see the world forever—was losing my mom.
Even to this day, talking about her passing is something that catches in my throat. It’s a pain that sits deep, because she was my anchor, my safe place, and the person whose love shaped so much of who I am. I’m strong in a lot of areas, but grief is the one place that still stops me in my tracks. I tend to keep moving, keep hustling, keep pouring into others, because sitting with that loss feels overwhelming.
It’s a pain I carry with me quietly, and one I’m still learning how to face with grace.
