Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Malcolm Worthy

Malcolm Worthy shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Malcolm, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Traveling! I love to explore so I want to do that as much as possible!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name’s Malcolm Worthy, I’m an artist, creative director, and founder of Few Worthy and 1STRANGR, where music, film, and scent all connect through storytelling. I create experiences that blend emotion, culture, and purpose, whether it’s through my upcoming EP UHJIA, which explores self-discovery and mystery, or through fragrances designed to capture moments of spirit and transformation. Everything I make represents alignment between art, ambition, and authenticity. I’m building a world, not just a brand.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between people is usually the silence when pride, pain, or fear keep us from saying what’s real. I’ve learned that distance doesn’t always start with miles; it starts when honesty fades. What restores those bonds is presence, being willing to understand, to communicate, to grow past what hurt you. UHJIA was born from that space… learning how mystery, faith, and vulnerability can bring connection back full circle.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self you were never lost, you were just being prepared. The silence was training your voice, the pain was sharpening your purpose. Don’t let the world rush you. Everything you dreamt of is real, you just had to grow into the version of you that could hold it.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I think a lot of smart people get it wrong by trying to solve life instead of living it. We analyze everything, love, timing, success until the mystery that makes it beautiful disappears. UHJIA is about embracing that mystery, about trusting the unseen. Real intelligence isn’t control; it’s alignment knowing when to move, when to listen, and when to let life unfold without forcing it.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, I absolutely believe in giving my best, even if no one praises it. I see every task as an opportunity to grow and maintain my own standard of excellence. Recognition is nice, but the real value comes from knowing I put in the work and did it right.”
