Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Ashley Jabara of Joplin, MO

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Ashley Jabara. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Ashley, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Being in nature makes me lose track of time and find myself. I am mesmorized by every flower, mushroom, and tree. Nothing feels better to me than wandering slowly through the woods.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ashley Jabara. I am an intuitive healer and space holder. I work with nature allies to bring balance and harmony to the energy field through energy healing and physical herbal products. Working with people’s energy or holding space is such a gift and a privledge. I love this work so much it doesn’t feel like a job.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My partner Reggie has always seen me as my best self. I hope to one day be the version of myself that he sees me as.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I struggled with childhood trauma, burnout, and war wounds. I’ve spent many years healing through different modalities like plant medicine, therapy, and energy healing. I don’t think you ever fully heal the wounds. I think they keep showing up as different layers to work on throughout our lives.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire Deborah Hanekamp for her character. She is a shining example of love in this world. I am grateful to know her and learn from her.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will say that I was kind, loving, and generous when I am gone.
