Story & Lesson Highlights with MAI TY

We recently had the chance to connect with MAI TY and have shared our conversation below.

MAI, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I worked with Hero Delano, who’s known for his work on “Back to Texas” off Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion: Long Bed. Collaborating with him gave me a firsthand look at professional-level production and vocal engineering. His attention to melody, texture, and emotion in every mix really helped elevate my sound and sharpen my creative direction.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is MAI TY, I’m a recording artist from Pennsylvania best known for my breakout single “Options (feat. BIGBABYGUCCI)”. My music has been featured on major platforms like Lyrical Lemonade, Elevator, and more. In collaboration with Cleopatra Records, I recently released “Options 2”, further expanding my sound. My latest project, “Backroads & Heartbreaks,” showcases a more personal side of my music and features three songs produced with Hero Delano who’s known for his work on Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion: Long Bed.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My mom shaped me into who I am today! She’s the foundation behind my strength, drive, and purpose.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a number of moments where I wanted to throw in the towel, but I kept going and ultimately it paid off. Don’t give up on your dreams!

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I view the public version of myself as an extension of who I am. I always used music as a creative outlet and I fell in love with the process.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
I would regret not doing the best I can. I wanna work towards success every single day!
