We recently had the chance to connect with Venomous Versus and have shared our conversation below.
Venomous, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
Yea, there’s been a couple times when we had opportunities to drop new music or go perform music we just recorded but it’s best to wait sometimes. It’s better to listen to back to what the final product is a couple times before performing.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello,
We’re Venomous Versus, a dynamic Hip-Hop duo proudly representing El Paso, Texas. From 2024 and once again in 2025, we were honored to be voted one of El Paso’s Best Music Artist, and we’re continuing to bring high-energy, lyrically driven performances to stages across the city.
We’ve had the privilege of performing at iconic local venues such as The El Paso Zoo, Lowbrow Palace, Funkmeyers, and multiple Art Expos, connecting with diverse crowds and showcasing our unique sound.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
We were influenced by many Artist like the Wu Tang Clan and Eminem. But our inspiration stretches further than just rap music. Hard living and heavy situations taught us how to get through each event, mentally.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
The reality of doing this is that there’s gonna be a lot of doors closing right in your face. There’s a lot of people that will get you hyped up for a dope opportunity that falls through at the end. But just becuase all that galena doesn’t discourage us, we don’t allow all that to stop us from searching for the next opportunity.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. Everything said in our music is our truth, our mentality. Our way of life. We don’t preach about anything else but what we go through.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
We would regret not being able to leave a meaningful impact on the people who depend on us outside of just doing music.
