Meet Anthony Stone

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anthony Stone a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Anthony with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

There are two places that I would have to credit for my work ethic; the United States Army and my father Anthony M. Stone Sr. I am a 100 percent disabled Veteran that proudly served for eight and one half years. The military helped me to become the man I am today.

My father, Anthony M. Stone Sr. Taught me a lesson in my childhood that pushed me to work had and never I’ve up. I remember, back in Minnesota, it had just snowed one and a half feet of snow. My father and I were driving and got stuck in the snow about a block from our home. After several attempts to get unstuck we quickly realized that the nay way to get the car home was to shovel the entire block. I start off strong but faded quickly. That day my father”s unwillingness to quit until he reached his goal changed my life forever.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Minnesota Lucy’s is a food truck that offers fresh, Homemade , and quality products. All of our products are locally sourced. We like to use the slogan we are Mississippi between two buns. Serving food is only one part of what we task ourselves with. We are a Veteran owned business that gives back to our community. We have fed the. Homeless, we mentor and train inspiring young Chef’s. We hire other disabled Veteran’s and members of the community who struggle to find employment due to incarceration . We like t give back to the community that supports us.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three qualities that impact my life the most are Loyalty, Honor, and Respect. My advice to people new to the journey is to be loyal to yourself and your product. Being honorable about who you are and to others goes a long way. And being respectful for yourself and others around you will give you a better chance for a future.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

We love collaborating with others. We will work with anyone or any company that is willing to help build the community. If we all work together and strive to build a community, we can build a great place that we can be proud of.
