We recently connected with Shannon Thomas and have shared our conversation below.
Shannon, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from my belief in God. Every single thing I’ve asked for or felt called to do, He’s made a way for me to accomplish. I truly believe He placed certain gifts inside of me on purpose, and if I can dream it, I can make it happen. I don’t think God assigns us tasks without equipping us with the tools to carry them out. That belief keeps me grounded, focused, and optimistic no matter what I’m facing.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m the founder of The Good Box Boutique, a wellness social club designed to elevate the feminine care experience. My background is in gynecology, and after more than a decade of caring for women, I realized how much we deserve spaces that feel safe, beautiful, and intentional—spaces where we can take care of our bodies without feeling rushed, judged, or unseen. That’s what The Good Box is all about.
We’re blending clinical care with community, luxury, and education. At The Good Box, women can come in for their gynecology services—Pap smears, annuals, hormone support, weight loss treatments, IV hydration—and then stay to relax, shop, or connect with other women. We offer hair and nail services, esthetics, feminine wellness products, curated self-care items, workshops, and events designed to educate and empower. It’s truly a one-stop sanctuary for women and girls.
What excites me most is that this isn’t just a business; it’s a movement. The Good Box is a place where women feel seen, supported, and valued. It’s a space I wish I had growing up, and now I get to build it for others.
We also have some new things on the way—community events, youth education experiences, Sunday wellness dinners with local chefs, and expanded services to meet the needs of every woman who walks through our doors. My mission is simple: create a beautiful, welcoming environment where women can prioritize their health, connect with each other, and feel good from the inside out.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three things that have carried me the most are perseverance, being a lifelong learner, and truly believing in my idea even when no one else could see it yet.
Perseverance has been everything. There were moments where I could’ve stopped, pivoted, or talked myself out of the vision—but I kept going. My advice: keep showing up for your dream even on the days when motivation isn’t there. Consistency will take you further than talent alone.
The second thing is being willing to constantly learn and ask questions. I never pretend to know it all. I ask the right people, I study, I take advice, and I’m always open to growing. If you’re early in your journey, surround yourself with people who know more than you. Don’t be afraid to ask questions—closed mouths don’t get fed, and closed minds don’t get far.
And finally, believing in my idea. That internal conviction has protected me from doubt, outside noise, and fear. If you don’t believe in your vision, it’s almost impossible to get others to believe in it. So, trust what God placed on your heart. Nurture it. Honor it. And don’t let anyone talk you out of something you know you were built to do.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely! Collaboration is a huge part of the vision for The Good Box Boutique. I’m always looking to partner with people who align with our mission of elevating women’s wellness, confidence, and community.
I’m interested in working with wellness practitioners, estheticians, nail techs, beauty professionals, educators, mental health providers, local chefs, fitness and dance instructors, and anyone who wants to pour into women and girls in a meaningful way. I love partnering with people who bring fresh ideas, expertise, and genuine passion for creating safe, empowering spaces.
Whether it’s workshops, community events, wellness experiences, youth programs, or service collaborations, I’m open to anything that helps us support women more intentionally.
