We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nina Lewis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Nina, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
“I found my purpose through a rather circuitous route. You see, for a significant part of my life, I wandered around feeling out of place, as if I were wearing someone else’s shoes—uncomfortable and just a tad ridiculous. This persistent feeling of misalignment sparked my curiosity and ignited my quest to discover what my true purpose might be.
I realized that finding one’s purpose often begins with acknowledging the ways in which our current paths diverge from our core beliefs. For me, keeping God at the center of my life acts as a grounding force, helping me navigate the complexities of existence. It’s like having a personal GPS that recalibrates whenever I stray into those ‘detour’ zones.
Ultimately, my journey has taught me that recognizing the necessity of finding and aligning with my purpose was crucial. It’s like finally discovering the right puzzle piece that fits perfectly, and I must say, it’s a lot more satisfying than trying to force together mismatched pieces and pretending they fit!
So, in summary, it’s been about embracing the chaos, connecting with my beliefs, and humorously navigating the wrong turns along the way—all in pursuit of a purpose that feels genuinely fulfilling.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
“I’m an evangelist and a servant, though those titles can mean different things to different people. What really sets my heart on fire is my soul’s purpose: helping others find their own fulfillment and purpose. It’s a beautiful ripple effect—when one person discovers their purpose, they can inspire someone else to do the same, creating a world steeped in intention, vision, and positivity.
Imagine a society where we all walk in harmony, following the teachings of Jesus Christ! That’s the vision I strive to advocate. As a Christian woman, I see myself as a brand ambassador for this message, passionately representing the idea that living a purposeful life can transform not just individual lives but also communities.
So, if you ever need a cheerleader for purpose and positivity, look no further!”
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
“I absolutely love this question! It’s one of those where insights come easier than action, but experience has a way of teaching us the ropes.
The first quality is faith—the belief in things unseen, the substance of hope. It’s that unwavering confidence that, no matter the storm, everything will eventually be okay. Without faith, we can easily lose sight, vision, and the drive to pursue something greater.
Next up is mindset. It’s crucial to stay flexible and receptive. Just like a smartphone updates its software, we need to update our minds and recognize those limiting beliefs that keep us stuck. Embrace growth!
Last but certainly not least is the power of relationships. It’s not about having an endless list of acquaintances but rather forging deep, meaningful connections that uplift and enrich our lives. True fellowship—supported by quality interactions—can be a game-changer.
For those just starting their journey, remember to cultivate these qualities daily. They’ll lay a solid foundation for a fulfilling path ahead. And don’t forget to enjoy the process, no matter how bumpy it gets!”

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely! My nonprofit organization, S.O.U.L Wilderness Ministries, is all about getting our hands dirty and being actively involved in the communities we serve. We’re dedicated to rebuilding and strengthening lives, particularly through youth empowerment, homelessness advocacy, and addiction support.
We believe in the power of collaboration—there are plenty of people already working tirelessly in these areas, and we want to be the hands-on team supporting them. If you’re looking to bridge the gap between those who need help and the committed laborers ready to make a difference, we want to hear from you!
Whether you’re seeking volunteers, need assistance in a particular area, or are searching for resources to fulfill specific needs that may be beyond your current means, reach out! You can connect with us via email, social media, phone call, or text. We’re here, ready to partner, and eager to collaborate.
If you’ve been praying for dedicated laborers, consider us your answer!
Let’s join forces and make an impact together!
