Good morning Trinity, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work lately, I’ve been really enjoying going to the gym because it lifts my mood, helps me manage stress, and makes me feel strong. I also like spending time shopping at TJ Maxx and being with my friends and family, which helps me relax and feel connected.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Trinity, also known as By Faith Imagery or Pretty Shoota. I’m a Chicago based Brand designer; a photographer, graphic designer, photographer, and journalist.
Uniquely, I offer a one-stop-shop for upcoming brands that need identity, and guidance in the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey.
Right now, I’m working on promoting more of my brand design packages. A lot of new companies do not have any identity, visuals, etc. Our packages offer anything from logo suites, to headshots, product photography, or campaigns.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
This is a great questions, and my only answer is Jesus Christ. Nobody will, or has ever seen me before the Lord. Though, my parents are a great response as well. When you find Jesus, you’ll learn that Jesus has always been there.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Every single day. Y’all thought I was gonna say “yeah, once!” No. Every single day I question if this route was for me. I have no choice but to look toward God and ask if I am in the right direction. Only now, do I almost feel like I’m doing it right. Thankfully, my clients are so supportive; reminding me that this is my calling.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes. What you see is what you get. Ask anybody. I’m crazy – in real life and online.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Giving a damn. I’d do whatever I wanted! I wouldn’t care about what anybody thought.
