Story & Lesson Highlights with Katherine Yannucci of Orlando, FL

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Katherine Yannucci. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Katherine, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Dance workouts 2-3 times per week are bringing me JOY, in the midst of life and work. I have committed to more dancing to infuse more joy into life since sometimes we get stuck in a rut of everything being so serious and busy with family and work commitments. I am taking a Latin cardio class at the YMCA near my house and it brings me back to my Colombian roots. I literally SMILE the whole time in class!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Katherine G. Yannucci, the founder and owner of Katica, LLC – Integrated Wellness for Women.

I am a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, a 500-hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, an International Retreat Leader, and a Master Reiki Practitioner. For the past 21 years, I have devoted my life to the healing arts—teaching, studying, and sharing holistic practices that restore balance to the mind, body, and spirit.

My healing journey began during a time when I was faced with hyperthyroid and fertility challenges. Coming from a lineage of women who always put themselves last, I reached a point where I knew I had to reclaim my wellbeing and step into my own power. What started as a deeply personal healing path quickly became a calling. Ayurveda and Yoga became my anchors, and over time I pursued formal studies and certifications so I could share this wisdom with integrity, compassion, and lived experience.

What makes my work unique is the way I blend everything I have studied—Ayurveda, Yoga, Reiki, Meditation, and Chinese Medicine—into a fluid, intuitive style of teaching. My yoga classes are often described as a “dance,” linking movement and breath to create a meditative flow. My retreats and mentorship programs weave ancient wisdom with modern life, helping women create sacred, sustainable wellness from the inside out.

Over the years, I’ve owned and managed a Yoga & Wellness Center, taught in studios, spas, and corporate settings across Florida and Ohio, and guided clients both locally and internationally. Today, I lead transformational retreats around the world, along with online and in-person programs that support long-term healing and wellbeing.

I currently live in Orlando, Florida with my family, where I continue to practice what I teach—moving my body, walking in nature, spending time by the ocean, traveling, savoring meals made with love, and staying connected to the heart of wellness.

My mission is simple: to help others return home to themselves, live with intention, and create a life that feels sacred—every single day.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
This is such a meaningful question, and one I reflect on often. Before the world shaped me, I was a fearless, strong-willed, free-spirited child who knew she would live life differently—simply, intentionally, and in service to others. My childhood dream was to become a social worker or psychologist, and I always felt drawn to Europe, where quality of life is valued so deeply.

Those dreams were discouraged when I was young, and it wasn’t until my 30s that I began reclaiming them. Through meditation, I found the courage to create a life aligned with my purpose. Today, I am blessed to be doing work that truly fulfills me and allows me to support others on their paths. And that dream of living in Europe? It is still alive and I intend to make it a reality within the next few years. The gift is that my work travels with me wherever I go.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You are capable of doing anything your heart and mind desires, no matter what anyone else says or does to stop you.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am deeply committed to healing family lineage through my personal journey and through the work that I do with clients, no matter how long the journey takes, because the transformation is worth it for every generation to come. Some cycles have simply run their course; they no longer serve who we are becoming. Choosing to break them is an act of courage, love, and devotion—one that creates space for healthier, more empowered human beings.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I am gone, I hope people say that I was a woman who lived with intention, who poured love into everything she touched, and who helped others remember their own sacredness. That I used my life to heal—myself, my lineage, and every person who crossed my path.
