Meet Ella Jen

We recently connected with Ella Jen and have shared our conversation below.

Ella, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

Ever since I was just a child, I always believed that just because you have a bad day, that doesn`t really mean you have to make someone else`s day bad as well. This world already is full of bad things so trying to stay positive and sharing the positivity among others is literally the least you could do. After all, we all got one chance at life, so why make it bad for yourself and everyone around you? The more optimistic you become, the better and happier your life will be. But be aware, being optimistic and naive are two different things.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Music is my passion. I come from a family, where are no musicians whatsoever. But when I was a baby, my mom would sing to me all the time. Apparently I would sing before I even started to speak normally.
I love to write lyrics, come up with toplines, daydream about selling out a show …
My music comes deep from my soul. I must admit not all of my songs are my stories, but honestly, I absolutely LOVE writing sad and heartbreaking songs, even though I have been happily married for over a year now. But writing about either my previous heartbreaks, or turning my friends` stories into these ballads make my soul feel calm.
This year, I became a first time mom to a gorgeous baby girl, so I didn`t really work on music or myself as much, as I probably should have, but I simply wanted to spend every single second with her. But I promise that year 2026 will be full of my new songs and I couldn`t be more excited.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I would say the most important thing is not to be afraid. My problem was, I was too afraid of my friends judging me for my music, that I simply didn`t want to do it. I would record a cover on my phone, post it on social media, and if it didn`t get a ceertain amout of likes and reactions within an hour, I immediately started thinking I am bad, people don`t like it and I should stop doing this. So my advice is, go for it, honey. Upload that song/video/whatever you do. Show people your talent. Don`t be afraid. And if you get a negative feedback (not hate though), let it help you grow and improve. Go get that confidence. And most likely, just because you have three likes on your video doesn`t mean you are not good enough. Keep it there. Upload more. Just do NOT give up. Your time will come.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

As I mentioned earlier, I am about to make 2026 THE year! And I am currently looking for people to collaborate with. So if you`re a music producer who loves to create EDM, HOUSE, or POP bangers (I am open to other genres as well, not gonna lie) and you are in a need of female vocalists, just message me on instagram @ellajenmusic and let`s create some magic together.
