Meet Jessica Abreu

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Abreu. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jessica, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from a combination of curiosity, resilience, and a deep belief in the potential of people and ideas. I’ve always been drawn to seeing what’s possible rather than what’s limiting, whether it’s in business, creativity, or personal growth. Running Brick by Brick Media has shown me firsthand that even small, consistent steps can lead to meaningful results, and that mindset fuels my optimism daily. I genuinely enjoy helping clients uncover their story, elevate their presence, and achieve growth they might not have thought possible. That excitement, seeing transformation happen, is what keeps me energized, hopeful, and focused on solutions rather than obstacles.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m the founder of Brick by Brick Media, a company built around one simple but powerful idea: helping businesses show up authentically to the people who need their services most. I love creating content that tells a brand’s story, highlights its personality, and connects with the right audience. For me, it’s not just about posting on social media, it’s about building a presence that feels real, relatable, and strategic, so businesses can grow in a meaningful way.

What’s most exciting about my work is seeing that transformation happen. When a client’s message resonates, when their audience engages, and when they start to see measurable growth, it’s incredibly rewarding. Every project is an opportunity to help someone’s vision come to life, and I’m thankful I get to do that every day.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding how I support businesses through content creation, strategy, and social media management. Whether it’s helping service providers connect with their ideal clients or guiding business owners through the maze of online marketing, my goal is always the same: to help businesses thrive, one thoughtful piece of content at a time. Brick by Brick isn’t just a name, it’s the way I approach every client, building strong, sustainable growth step by step.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, curiosity, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Resilience has allowed me to keep moving forward even when challenges arise. In business, there will always be obstacles, but being able to navigate them with a solution-focused mindset makes all the difference.

Curiosity has driven me to constantly learn, explore new ideas, and adapt to changes in the industry. It’s what keeps my work fresh and innovative and helps me find new ways to help my clients succeed.

Effective communication is the third quality, because no matter how great your product or service is, you can only make an impact if you can clearly share your vision and connect with the people you want to serve.

For anyone just starting out, my advice is to practice these qualities intentionally. Embrace challenges as opportunities to grow, ask questions and seek knowledge wherever you can, and focus on truly understanding and connecting with the people around you. These qualities are not only valuable for building a successful business, but they also help you grow as a person and leader.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

One book that has played a significant role in my personal and professional journey is Atomic Habits by James Clear. What makes it so impactful is how it shifts your perspective from chasing big, intimidating goals to focusing on small, consistent actions that compound over time. One of the biggest takeaways for me is the concept that success is built through systems, not willpower alone. By designing habits that align with your goals and making good behaviors easier to do, you can create lasting change in both your personal life and your business.

Another key insight is the idea of identity-based habits. When you focus on the type of person you want to become rather than just the results you want to achieve, your actions naturally follow. I’ve found this especially relevant in leadership and entrepreneurship, where showing up consistently and intentionally shapes both your brand and your team culture. The book also emphasizes the importance of tracking progress, celebrating small wins, and understanding that setbacks aren’t failures but opportunities to learn and adjust.

Atomic Habits has been impactful for me because it provides practical, actionable strategies that translate directly into real-life results. It’s helped me stay consistent in building my business, develop better systems for productivity, and maintain a mindset that focuses on growth rather than perfection. For anyone interested in self-improvement and leadership, this book is a roadmap for creating meaningful, lasting change.
